Good article...I think Kerry will gain points from the debate among those who were looking for comfort from Kerry to go that way. I still think he reinforced a lot of the impressions that the GOP has been driving home (flip-flopper, global test, etc.) but whether or not that is enough to overcome his ability to sound presidential (despite his inconsistencies and poor ideas) remains to be seen. I also think that most will anticipate Kerry winning the next two debates but, unfortunately for Bush backers, I don't see the prez doing any better. It's hard to win a debate when the other guy can think faster on his feet.
