I know there used to be a Jax Chiefs fan club, just curious if anyone here is going to the Jax game on the 17th. We are thinking about driving down, and are just curious if anyone else is making the trip?

I know! I have been there a couple of times, and the stadium is a real shi!hole. The 400 level seats really suck, which is probably why they are so cheap. The city is pretty cool though, we always have a good time when we go down there.

I have 2 tickets in sec 121(North end zone) in row D. There will be a big group of the Jacksonville Chiefs club there as well.

Yeah, Jacksonville over the last few weeks have been endangered of blackouts, infact I believe the season opener was blacked out.

They never sell out. The only time the blackouts are lifted is when some sponsor buys all the tickets. But the stadium is still only about 2/3 full when the games aren't blacked out. Jacksonville is strictly a college town and the only team they care about there is the Gators. Anyone who wants tickets to this Chiefs game, can easily get one for 10-20 bucks before the game outside the stadium.

I'll be there. Going down and meeting up w/ some transplanted Chiefs fans down in Jacksonville.

The sunday night, post-5-hours of drinkin'- flight home should be a real peach.

Our son is 5, so we are going to take him to the Falcons/Lions game this Sunday to see how he holds up. If he makes it 4 quarters without me throwing him from the upper deck, we will probably go to jax. I would really like to get some seats close to some other chiefs fans, just more fun that way...

You're sitting way up high. You should move down closer once the game starts. There's always plenty of empty seats at Alltel.

It doesn't look that high to me from the Web cam on the Jags site. Unlike baseball, for football games I like to be elevated a bit so I can see formations better. Plus, these seats are around midfield -- my last two times at Alltel, I sat in the endzone, which I hate.

Are Planet members having a pregame get-together anywhere?

My seats are in row 4 in the lower level, but unfortunately I'm in the end zone. I wouldn't mind moving back a little ways to be in the middle of the field.

There's a big group of people in Jacksonville that watch all the games together. I just moved from there a few months back and haven't spoke to them in a while, but I'm sure they will be having a big get together for it like we did the last time the Chiefs played here in 2001.

Aren't those seats right behind a big support column?

There is a team for LA. The Los Angeles Jaguars. Sounds good. Or maybe Orlando. Jacksonville isn't going to have a team much longer IMO.

For any else going to the game tomorrow, the Jaxchiefsclub will be meeting up at 9:00am local time at the Regency Square mall and will be getting to the stadium about 9:30. There should be a large group of Chiefs fans going with the group.
