Obscure College Rodomontade Joe Hatley of Overland Park, Kan., notes that a week ago TMQ's second-favorite obscure college, Pittsburg of Kansas, beat Missouri-Rolla 91-27 in a game that featured 17 touchdowns (http://www.pittstategorillas.com/football/statistics/04fb05.htm). Although it was 63-7 at the start of the fourth quarter, the Gorillas continued to throw -- worried about losing your 56-point fourth-quarter lead, coach? Then on Saturday, Pittsburg of Kansas beat Washburn 70-14 in a game that featured a mere 12 touchdowns (http://www.pittstategorillas.com/football/statistics/04fb06.htm). Although it was 63-14 at the start of the fourth quarter, the Gorillas continued to throw -- worried about losing your 49-point fourth-quarter lead, coach? "The football gods will surely smite the Gorillas," Hatley projects.

I'm pretty pleased that UMR scored 27 points. They're improving.

Washburn kept the game closer by 8 points. Add the fact that WU traveled on the road to Pitt, and UMR played at home, that has to be good for at least 2 touchdowns. Thats 22 points. GO BODS!

I noticed that. I missed last week's column... so I didn't realize he had already referenced us once.

Also note this from his obscure college stuff...

Cheyney has been outscored 312-26.

I thought of using TMQ to bring light to Kirby Cannon's ineptitude... but, found that the Miners are merely being outscored 314-119.

I also found this line humorous...

Colby 23, Middlebury 6. These hippy-dippy schools play football?
