I am buying a new video card so I will be able to play Everquest 2 and have the chance to get a "Jaton FX 5700" with 256mb for $180. Has anyone used a Jaton card or does anyone have any experiance with the nividia 5700 chip? If not does anyone have a recomendation for a card that is $200 or less?

Go to newegg.com.

They have MANY 256MB FX 5700s for around $130. They also have customer reviews on most products.

I recently purchased this card for the wife's machine and have been very happy with it. This is third Leadtek product I have bought and never had any problems with. (Plus it cam with Big Mutha Truckers! ;) )

Leadtek nVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 Ultra Video Card, 128MB GDDR3, 128-bit, DVI/TV Out, 8X AGP, Model "WinFast A360 Ultra TDH

I just got a 6800 GT to play that game...but that is a bit pricey. :)

Your 5700 should be fine and you should be able to play at medium settings.

BTW...have friends testing it and they have great things to say...but it isn't quite ready for release and that worries me. :)

(you should be able to get a 5900 at newegg.com)

I have an ATI Radeon 9600 SE that i bought for 130 a couple months ago. Really improved gaming preformance. Doom 3 looks awesome, which is probably the most taxing graphics on a PC.

I recently upgraded from an ATI Radeon 9500 PRO to a GeForce FX 5900 XT and I'm very satisfied. You can find it on Newegg.

Can't give you any input on the card you're asking about but will throw in a recommendation.

I bought the below video card from Crucial for about $360 dollars a year ago. The price dropped dramaticly because ATI just introduced thier newest line of cards.

I play Call of Duty UO and Far Cry both at thier highest settings with no problems what so ever.

It's gonna be at least 1 year till gaming software can challenge anything above this.
