Um...huh? K State lost by 10 to maybe the best team in the country, and made OU work for it. Mizzou lost by 8 to a team that's not even the best in the South. So I guess I don't see the logic.

Gee, Maybe I was the only one that saw Texas Do pretty well against OU last week and hold them to 1 TD and 2 FGs. Anyone else get anywhere close to that against OU this season? I give you that OU should be #1 in the country and I agree with that. But to talk like a VERY good Texas team is nothing more than a bunch of scrubs is pretty arrogant in my book.

From what I saw out there, MU SHOULD have won this one but thanks to a couple if INTs returned for TDs, Texas pulled it out. Now, I seriously don't think MU has a chance against OU, but I think they will roll right on past KSU this year. 0-3 in the Big 12 - ROFL

No way MU "should have " won today. They trailed all day by up to two TD's and Texas was deep in MU territory and driving when the game ended.

Chech the (. x. )(. x. )(. x. )(. x. )ing stats. Here, I will help you:

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=242900251

Mizzou led in almost every stat that usually indicates who will win. They had more yards, more TOP, less turn overs, more firstdowns, and better third down efficiency.

Mizzou stopped itself today. Although I was upset with losing I was happy that we hung this well with Texas at Texas and are still 2-1 in the Big 12. As opposed to losing at home and going 0-3 in Big 12 play.

Yes, I definitely don't see the logic. If I were an MU fan, today would have done nothing to reassure me that the North is in the bag.

With how weak the rest of the North is I do not really see who can take it from them other then themselves. We play Ok. State at home next week. This should be the hardest game of the year now that Texas is out of the way. If we can hang with Texas in Texas I don't see why we shouldn't have a good chance of beating Ok. State at home. We play K-State and Kansas at home. Neither one of them are impressive this year. Traditionally we are much better at home. We have a good chance of winning all three of those. We play Nebraska and Iowa State away, but again they both not impressive at all.

The only way I see Missouri losing the North barring total collapse is if Nebraska some how runs the table the rest of the year. They still have to play at Kstate, at OK, Colorado, and Missouri. They could easilly lose all four of those games. Just a reminder. K-State is 0-3, Kansas is 1-2, and Colorado is 1-2. Colorado has already lost to Mizzou. Who exactly do you see taking the Big 12 away from Mizzou?

I thought it was a pretty good game, as games go, and I was surprised how well that Missouri played. Real shame about that INT for TD that Smith threw. I swear, if KU and MU had somehow learned how to finish certain games a little more strongly or emphatically, we could've had two of the more surprising undefeated teams through 5/6 games in college football. Still, 4-2 and 3-3 respectively is a decent start. I'm really interested in that MU/OSU game next week. I almost feel sorry for KU, however. I don't think OU is going to play poorly (which I thought they did in the first half today) again, although maybe they overlook Kansas. I doubt it, but maybe.

Really, two touch downs from turn overs, sounds like MU lost the game on those two int.

You really should pull your head out of your ass, as Saul stated the north is for MU to lose.

Pinkle has this program going in the right direction, and at the right time, CO, KSU and NE are all programs in flux right now.

The most comforting thing about the loss: the MU defense continues to look outstanding. The d-line is outstanding, and the back seven make plays, especially Nino Williams and Jason Simpson (the samurai warrior) at safety. Texas would have scored 14 points total if not for the two picks.

The offense was shaky, but looked better than it has in other road games this year. Encouraging stuff... I fully expected a firm beatdown, but the Tigers hung tough and could have won.

If Mizzou beats OSU next week, I don't see them losing another game this season, at least until the Big 12 title game.

Nebraska gave up 27 points to Baylor yesterday. 27 points... to Baylor... plus, look at the matchup... MU's secondary leads the Big 12 in picks... Joe Dailey is a tad turnover-prone... and the vaunted Blackshirts gave up 27 points to Baylor. I think Missouri wins that one.

K-State at home.... time to finally break that streak... we'll have momentum, anger and a rowdy crowd on our side.

Kansas at home, ISU on the road... yeah. 2 wins, though I think the KU game will be close.
