BAQUBA, Iraq (Reuters) - The bodies of 49 soldiers of Iraq's new army have been found shot dead northeast of Baghdad, police and Iraqi National Guard officers said on Sunday.
They said 37 bodies had been recovered on Saturday and another 12 on Sunday morning on a road near the village of Mandali, near the Iranian border.
Police said insurgents appeared to have intercepted the soldiers as they were traveling home on leave and forced them to lie on the ground before shooting them.
The soldiers were based at Kirkush, about 55 miles northeast of Baghdad.
Whoopsie.

Being sarcastic in the subject header and the overall way this thread was made shows a severe lack of class.

I was going to say the same thing. I'm not sure why you consider the massacre of unarmed soldiers to be something to be sarcastic about. The title and "Whoopsie" comment were incredibly distasteful.

I'm a distasteful guy. I would be sorry I offended anyone, but I'm not.

1. Yes, Vietnamizatoin is working nicely, no? Please. The ING is a joke...they will last precisely 10 minutes after our troops leave. The result?

My mistake. You are right, it took only [precisely] forty-two days to deliver a nation from tyranny to freedom..........just like the United States.
And to think, Iraq might even have to endure a civil war.........the horror!
 :shake:

You are the ones who are in favor of America looking bad, since you are the ones supporting the dude behind this whole cluster-****.

That would be a whole lot of nations. Somebody can want all they want, we should only attack when that side get the ability to "destroy America". Iraq didn't, hence horrible decision on Bush's part. But, I mean yeah... invade, invade, invade, it's not like your family will be dying from a bomb targeting the "insurgents". You are not one of the guys over there fighting for __________ (insert a cause there, anything works, as it will be enough for you to justify it).

There are, I think, tasteful and intelligent ways to review and condemn Bush's policies if one wishes, and/or to bring up facts that support various positions about his policies.
Then there is this thread. :shake:

You might want to disguise your glee a little bit before posting a story about 50 people being murdered.

It’s a common defense mechanism. Same as if you’re against the war, you’re not supporting our troops…..if you don’t agree with the Bush administration you’re unpatriotic….etc… I’m sure you’re accustomed to the Rove machine.
Then they try to turn it around by saying things like…

Don’t take it personally, this is how they justify things. And another thing, if you all are worried about class on a message board, you might take the internet too seriously.

So, you won't be voting for Bush.
