Dur.

There are some great responsible younger kids, but most are a waste of time when it comes to the government. Until Phish is allowed to play at the polls and XBoxes and bongs are kept to entertain them, they will not vote en masse.

Interesting, at least to me it seems like more people my age voted this year than ever... at least among people I knew....

TK - About 100 people at my polling station this morning, only 3 were blatantly well under the age of 30

ROFL

Russ...at my voting booth I voted at, someone wrote "Phish" on it with the marker provided to vote with.

Most of the kids in the 18-24 group that I talked to are not really in touch with the issues. It seems that most of them parrot information they heard on a commercial. I have tried to encourage them to dig a little deeper to get information.

Younger people also walk away from long lines, find excuses not to go, and simply scoff at the system.

A twenty three year old poor Republican voting a straight Republican ticket.

Just how many rules did I break today?

Well, you are in Texas...so you don't get that one. Perhaps if you were in CA...:hmm:

But I am also in a major metropolitan area (and not the suburbs either, but the city itself) and about 30-40 minutes from the coast.

The Texas angle just got countered and beaten.

Well here's a 24 year old that got off his fat ass and went to vote. My generation disgusts me to no end. I pity this country when we take over...I just wish I lived in a swing state. Oklahoma was called Bush at 7:01 central standard time.
