Any word on when he'll be back? Adding him would be icing on the cake for the offense....

By the time he gets back he'll have missed more than half the season, and we run a complex offense. He's toast this year.

The word is he'll be up and running in two to three weeks.

And welcome to the Planet!

they're saying Kris Wilson will likly come back by the Pats or Chargers game. Will this change the offense they run in a double TE set? will this affect the run with Kris Wilson in there instead of Dunn? Will it be as successful or will it take a period of adjustment for the offense? Also is Boerigter gonna be able to come back if the chiefs make the playoffs? Or is completely done till next season?

Marc Boerigter was placed on injured reserve so he's done for the season. I imagine that Wilson's role will be determined by how healthy and how rusty he is. Jason Dunn is playing well as the second tight end so I don't see Kris totally replacing him. What you could see is Kris used in specific packages either in combo with Tony Gonzalez or as the third tight end with Dunn and Gonzalez. Say it's second-and-three and the Chiefs come with five offensive linemen, Trent, Priest, Wilson, Dunn, Gonzalez and one wide receiver. Wilson could line up at fullback and be used as a blocking back ala T-Rich for Priest. He could line up at fullback and motion to either side of the line of scrimmage and serve as an blocker at the point of attack. He could motion out and run a route against a linebacker. He could line up in the slot and crack back on an outside linebacker. You saw Dallas Clark with the Colts Sunday? That's exactly the kind of player Wilson could be for the Chiefs. Multi-dimensional players like that can cause a lot of problems for a defense.

It wil be nice to have him back, but i dont expect much out of him this year to be honest. Dunn is playing good so he wont get much playing time. We might see him line up at Fullback more to give T-Rich a spell.
