View Full Version : webpage question

My roommate just made a webpage using freewebs.com. I was excited at the prospect of making my own webpage, and so I went to the site. I entered in information to start an account, but my computer has put that site on a restricted site. Being daring, I temporarily took it off and continued with the registration.
I stopped with the registration, however, when I encountered a message that said all my IP activity will be monitered through this site if I hit agree.

I really really want to make a super-cool free website like my roommate, but I don't want to unintentionally sign up for something that is going to hack into my computer.

Can anyone give me any advice as to how I should proceed?

Er... I'm not sure how much disk space you get with freewebs. I use Geocities.com.... but I don't really host anything that a billion people are going to view, just a little personal website and pictures of me/I've taken... and nobody wants to see those so I never run into space problems. :)

are you using a static IP ?
if you're not, I don't think it will bother you at all.
