Funny you mention that... this will basically force Memphis to either drop the 2005 Preseason NIT or the 2006 Maui Invitational. Yeah, like we need to weaken our schedule any more when our conference becomes Memphis, Tulsa, UAB, UTEP, and OH MY GOD.

I figured you would have caught the whole "Maui Owwie" reference, in which Ball State actually won a meaningful game. :)

The SEC should seriously consider dropping Vandy and adding Memphis.

The SEC should seriously consider dropping Vandy and adding Memphis. In a fair world, sure... but we're talking about college athletics here, man. Next thing you're going to be spouting is that all teams should have a legitimate shot at the national title in football.

Its all about $$$...but I would think Memphis could draw more $$$ in than Vanderbilt...is Vandy good at anything?

Cool. I didn't know Isaac Bruce went to Memphis.

Even cooler, Kansas State has scoreboard on Memphis.

This sucks, really does. The schools could use another 2 - 5 games , not only the renvnue, but the kids need it for their skills, brings more exicitment to college basketball.

The big drawback is the extra time it takes the kids away from school studies.

Whatever dude. What a crock. This coming from the guy who openly jacks off to pictures of some 5'3" midget running back from K-State....

Plus, it's fun to have "scoreboard" (as you would call it) on KU.

Wow. I didn't know Memphis used to be in the Valley.Totally. Like, fer shuuuure. Don't you remember the 1973 National Championship game?

Seriously, our conference history is long and convoluted. Not like you lucky-ass land grant schools... :D

Scoreboard? You darn well better be talking football.... we've got KU and basketball, and if we'd played KSU, we'd have scoreboard on them too....

Either that..or I just don't pay attention. :)

Oh..and before your quick edit..i'm sure you did. Its not a total loss though, you guys did beat us in 1949.

Football..yeah, the score was 76-0.

I don't think Ball State could beat KSU in bball this year. But I guess we won't know that. BTW, do you know of any database that has a list of College Bbbal scores, historical? We could check on who has scoreboard...haha.

The big drawback is the extra time it takes the kids away from school studies.

Their future careers in hotel & restaurant management are suffering.

Oh..and before your quick edit..i'm sure you did.Quick eye, and we were definitely screwed out of a win in that 21-16 loss.

I wasn't sure whether you were talking about football or basketball, though, so I erased it and decided to look it up after I took a shit.

Yeah. Not many people lost to KSU during the 70's.

Yeah. Not many people lost to KSU during the 70's.You were a blight on our season! You surely changed the course of our season, which cost us a bowl berth and changed the course of our entire program! You almost killed our football program, which didn't recover until thirty years later!!!!!!

To this day, I wonder what would have happened if UL and FSU hadn't blocked the Metro Conference from including football back in the 80s:

Cincinnati
Florida State
Georgia Tech
Louisville
Memphis
South Carolina
Southern Miss
Tulane
Virginia Tech
