View Full Version : First Down Elvis?

I was sitting close to the visiting teams tunnel tonight and noticed some medical crew attending to somebody down near the endzone and they brought FDE(I'm pretty positive it was him) by on a stretcher with his face rather bloodied up and though I only got a short glance at him, he didn't look very good. Anybody have any info on what happened or how he is doing? Hope everything is ok.

It was a guy dressed in Elvis garb. And they were taking him from the section he sits in with Weird Wolf(Maybe he will pop in and give some info). They were looking at him around the area where the band is.

Hmmm they did show Weirdwolf during the game in the 2nd half did they not? I think it was a close-up so you really couldn't tell if FDE was there. I hope he's alright. :(

If FDE were injured at the game, I think we would have heard something by now. I got a phone call from him 10 seconds after he hung up the phone with his wife after his auto accident a couple months ago, so I hope nothing is wrong.

I'm just passing along what I saw. Guy in a rhinestone suit on a stretcher with blood on his face coming from the section where he sits with Weirdwolf.

Yeah, I don't think it was anything serious. Looks to me like he was hit by something...perhaps WW's shoulder pads????

I hated even posting this because I hate speculation, but hopefully somebody will find something out soon and he is alright.

At the Carolina game, I was sitting next to a 280 lbs buddy. He's not a fatass, either. After a Chiefs stop, we were all going nuts when I caught something in my peripheral vision and moved my head back.

His elbow caught me right between the eyes. It smarted and I was more than a little surprised my shades remained intact. I hate to think what would have happened to my pretty face if I hadn't sensed it coming.

Good Morning Gentlemen....the wife here....

Yes, Stevo (FDE) was the man you saw being taken away on a stretcher. He's okay. We just now got back from the emergency room where they did a cat scan of his head and he received stiches above his left eye and right across the bridge of his nose.

What happened was this (according to WierdWolf)

Stevo went down the steps to where the railing is at the end zone there, and leaned too far over and fell and hit his face on the metal (?) steps down below. I guess it's about a 4-6 ft fall. The First Aid there at the stadium was concerned about a head injury which is why he was taken to the hospital. KC Dan and I followed him there once the game was over. (There was only a few minutes left in the game when it happened) I hate emergency rooms, nothing happens quickly there.

He's gonna have a HUGE black eye tomorrow but will survive. Lynn (WierdWolf) may have some additional info when he logs on tomorrow but I thought I'd let all you early birds know what was up.

Thanks for all the kind words! I know they mean a lot to him.
Talk to ya later!

(UPI-Kansas City) First Down Elvis assaulted; Ron Artest, Al Qaeda suspected.

In a bizarre turn of events, Chiefs Superfan First Down Elvis was assaulted by an unlikely tag team, suspended NBA player Ron Artest and one member of the terrorist organization, Al Qaeda. While preparing to peacefully cheer on his favorite NFL football team, a deranged Artest came up from behind FDE, accusing him of throwing a cup of ice water on him. Artest pushed FDE from behind over the outstretched leg of an unidentified woman from Wichita, Kansas. A bystander stood up and shouted, "Den.ise is Al Qaeda! Den.ise is Al Qaeda!" while pointing at the woman in question.

First Down Elvis is in good spirits, convalescing in the Jungle Room.

On another note:
Shortly after that incident I saw one of the cameramen in the end zone (right by where FDE got injured) come out of his box and rip off a banner from the wall. I didn't catch what the banner said but, he just tore it off and went back to his little box area with the camera. I have never seen that happen before. Anyone see this banner and know what it said?

Holy crap. I'm glad to hear all is well. I can't wait until he's up and around, typing away on ChiefsPlanet. He's never, ever going to live this down. :D

and as much as I am inclined to partake in that effort...ROFL

I'll just say I hope he heals fast and there are no scars, emotional or otherwise, and that hopefully he'll be getting some better karma and soon. :thumb:

As soon as I saw you had posted on this thread, I clicked in knowing your post would contain the word "karma".

Avoid facial contcat with hard immoveable objects.

A motto I have lived with for the last few years.

(uh, yeah, had to learn that the hard way...)

Take care Stevie. Get well soon.

The real Elvis would take a whole lot of drugs to help get over this.

Well, since women are responsible for the pussification of the American male, probably a woman.

FDE,
WOW! Glad to hear your OK. I dont know if it was on TV but last nite at the game on the jumbo, they did a close up of you while they were playing an Elvis diddy and I just wanted to tell you you did a great lip sink and lip curl. This was obviously prior to your close encounter of the unkind, but just think Stevie, you have brought a whole new meaning to the phrase "Elvis has left the building".

My spin...

Van Gogh cut off his ear, SR takes a chunk out of his nose.

Coincidence?

Its admirable that you are willing to suffer for your art, the self-portrait should be striking.

Jesus H. Christ. That looked pretty nasty. Glad that it wasn't serious. How long do you have to have those stitches in?

What was worse was watching Kennison sprint over at full speed, almost make a beautiful save of FDE only to watch in horror as another one slips through his fingers.

I was surprised that it took 100 posts to get an Artest line.

It was done in post 63...
