You knew this thread was inevitable. It has been a hard year on many fronts for me in business, sports and in other personal areas. That being said I am still very lucky man to have what is important in life. I am thankful that every day I wake up next to a wonderfully beautiful woman who loves me like no other. I have friends and family that will do anything for me and show it all the time. I have my health and am able to live the active lifestyle I enjoy. I get to live in the greatest country in the world the good ol USofA. I get to eat awesome foods and wash it down with great wines and other spirits. I even have a great dog I get to do all my cardio with, did I ever mention pitbulls rule? I am thankful for all these things and much more like being able to post here and have all you guys put up with my shit. I thank god for all these things this holiday season and if I could take just one thing from my life and wish it upon everyone else it would be that everybody could be surrounded by love and kindness I have in my life, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

God bless all our BB members and families this holiday season BIG DADDY and lil momma wish all of you and yours the very best.

For the health and happiness of my family.
For being lucky enough to call myself an American.
For our brave fighting men and women.
For the Kansas City Chiefs going to the Superbowl.

Long as you air in your lungs and food in your belly you can't complain.

Thankful for everything.

I am thankful for the health of my children, for all our military for fighting for the safety of all of us, and for getting out of my last marriage.

Well,
I'm thankful for the air in my lungs.
My beautiful girlfriend who makes my day bright each day.
Her kids that look up to me for advice.
My mom who is still ticking.
My brothers/sisters who are not the closest family but is a family nonetheless.
My father for teaching me what I know today, Wish you was still here Pop. I miss you badly
Thankful for my Rottweiler, who passed on this year. He was the greatest dog ever. I miss him badly
Thankful for the men and women in Uniform who make this life possible.
Thank the Lord for what he has given me everyday of my life.

Wow that's like your best post ever. Sorry to hear about your dad, losing family really, really sucks. I did lose my dog this year too though so I can relate to you there. Good luck with your family!!

In all honesty, at this time last year I was working for a floundering company, worrying about getting laid off all the time, working insane hours, etc.

This year I've gota new job with a growth company, working less, making more, and in a much better work environment. Huge blessing there.

ask me after the emergency root canal I get to have in less then an hour and after we have my son tested for a staph infection tomorrow, along with making sure that the pnemonia is gone after the third set of drugs.

Oh well, maybe I will be more chipper when I can think some other then, "OWWWWWWWW!!!".

I get five days off work, even if a client just called at 5:30 p.m. and scheduled me on a conference call on Friday. :banghead:

Our household has alot to be thankful for this year. My wife ( Carrie ) has already lived longer than the doctors had given her hope for. We are extremely thankful for this.

My nephew is back in Iraq for his 2nd tour, obiviously we have concern with that.

My son in law was advised that he could be deployed to Iraq or to some point in the Middle East in Feb. 2005

We are thankful that the Chiefs will come back and try again next year.

We are thankful to the many friends that we have made here at ChiefsPlanet and 37 Forever. Again thanks for the support from many of you during our trying times.

To each and everyone on the Planet, Happy Thanksgivings to all. :thumb:

What do I not have to be thankful for this year?

Got a great girl, great job (with an even better one lined up for the summer and points beyond), family's in good health, got to see every Devils game this season (two in person), and a regular message board with posters whose problems put it all in perspective. :)

Now if I could just get rid of the high blood pressure, the night sweats, and the Chiefs' D, I'll be good to go. Actually, I think those are somehow connected....

I was going to be a smart ass and say that I am thankfull for being on my way to getting drunk, but since that is the case, I'm a bit more emotional than usual and do not feel like dicking around after reading the serious thread starter. So...

I'm thankful for -
my family
my friends
my country
those who keep me living safe and sound in my country
my health
the Planet (actually should be listed under friends, as that is really why I keep coming back)
my college football team (what are you gonna do?)
my pro football team (what are you gonna do?)
my baseball team (what are you gonna do?)
the fact that I not only have a roof over my head, but that it is a reasonably nice roof
my POS car (at least I have one)
my guns :D
And last but certainly not least, alcahol (you knew it was coming after the way I started the post)

I hope all of you and your famalies have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and over all holiday season.

I would just like to point out how cool it is to see BD and Donnier not only be civil to one another in this thread, but actually nice.

I hope this ends after the holiday season though, too much of this nicey nice mushy crap will get on my nerves.
