Alright, my wife and I can't agree on a name for a boy due in February. Our 3 yr. old girls name was easy, we both liked Hannah. This time we simply can't agree.

These are my favorite.

1. Louden Fast (enter last name here) *This would be awesome*
2. Gage (my wife doesn't like it)
3. Zachary (wife somewhat likes it)

Well? Lets hear thought and suggestions. GO!

Name him after your dad, nickname him "Skip".

In order to protect your child, you really need to give us your last name! The planet is the perfect intelligence level for beta testing what names children will make fun of!

I have exactly the opposite dilemma. We are expecting a daughter in April and the boy names would have been easy (James - after my wifes father who was shot down in Vietnam; Dominic - who was the Grandpa on my side of the family I resembled most.)

Last week we found out it is a girl and we don't know what to choose. I like Ashley and my wife likes Abigail. Runners up are Samantha and Georgia (which is great but too country for California.)

My suggestions for you would be something traditonal. How about James Nicholas?

Let me know what you are leaning toward and we'll vote.

Also, put yourself in a juvenile state of mind and figure out what kind of jokes the kids will make of the name and avoid it. My last name starts with a Z so every first name that starts with an E (like Emily) is out of the question...I will not have a daughter who is EZ.

My first boy is going to be Josh, I already have that decided. He's going to be a Chiefs fan as well. :D

The beatings will start in the incubator room when the other newborns find out his name is Gloster Kloster!

I'll wait for the Springer episode in 19 years when your kid bum rushes you for naming him that!

no, i don't think i've seen that movie...

but fictional names don't count...

has anybody in real life actually named their kid sodapop?

(not that i'd be all that surprised, of course...)

I like George Costanza's choice of "Seven" (in memory of Mickey Mantle) to be the name of his first born son. Cosmo was another good one from that show.

My wife and I were getting sick of our parents constantly asking what our son's name was going to be, so we started telling them that we decided on "Zoltan." Boy, you shoulda seen the panic on their faces when we kept up the joke for about 3 months.

We finally decided on "Dawson" after Lenny (and made mainstream by Dawson's Creek). About five months after he was born, we had some new neighbors move in next door, and they had a son about two months old named Dawson as well.

If we ever had a daughter, I'd push for "Delaney."

The movie was based off of a book, but alright.

As I've already said, I don't believe that anyone has named their kid Sodapop...however, the fact that the author of The Outsiders thought of a guy being named Sodapop means that the idea's been taken.

Dawson is an awesome name and also happens to be my madien name. I used to tell kids when I was in grade school many moons ago that Len Dawson was my uncle and they believed me. I couldn't pull off him being my dad since they already knew him, but boy did I have them believing he was my uncle.ROFL
