Chief's Bar in Des Moines???

A while back someone mentioned a Chiefs bar in Des Moines, IA. Has anyone in here been there? Or can tell me where it is?

IIRC, it was on Merle Hay Rd. But, I don't really know for certain. One of the guys who has been there would need to chime in, I guess.

There used to be a Chiefs bar called Wheely's on Merle Hay Rd. It's under different ownership with a different name and I don't know if it's still a Chiefs bar.

If you're looking for a good place to catch the game, try 3rd Base (3 Bag) in West Des Moines. They play all the games and on any given day you can find a decent representation of Chiefs fans. There should be quite a few today since we're not on TV.

It's in between University and Westown Pkwy on about 25th street.

JSP is right..........some Planet folks have met at Wheelys before on Merle Hay.

I've caught Chief games at BEARS in Ankeny.

I've been to "Wheelies" its been about 3 years ago.
It was on Merl Hay road. It seams like it was right behind the "Ground Round"....... Personally, I was not impressed with the place.

Neither is Ground Round.

3rd Base is a pretty good place to catch a game.
