When he's introduced on Monday Night Football, why does he state his high school as opposed to his college? His college is listed as Eastern Michigan, and he had a full and pretty good college career there. Is he ticked off at Eastern Michigan for some reason, or does he just really like his high school?

I remember the annoucer commenting on this once, but I don't think they really said. I think they just said something like, "By the way, Dalton did go to college -- at Eastern Michigan."

Interesting question.

Some players do that cause they are stupid.

I can see Endelt having a four-year memory gap, but it seems like Dalton would remember.

As alumni, he probably doesn't want to contribute money there. These smaller schools don't get too many players in the NFL and when they do, perhaps they feel like they've hit the jackpot. Of course, this is entirely speculation.

I noticed Jared Allen said "THE Idaho State University". What a punk.

I'd be embarrassed to admit I went to Eastern Michigan too... :) I honestly don't know, their program probably could use all the help they can get.

I missed that. That actually kinda makes me chuckle.

Okay, it's silly and dorky and just sounds stupid -- but does it make him a "punk?"

A couple years ago Simien Rice said he was from "Playa U.". I can understand that he might be ashamed to be from Illinois given the current state of the football program, but that's just retarded.

Some do it b/c they are bitter about the college... there's a guy from Florida State (forgetting his name now - he's a receiver) that was hung out to dry in his final year, so he says his high school.

Someone will know who I'm thinking of...
