I just heard some guys/gals talking about giving blood and having a fear that someone that gets their blood would possibly link them to a crime due to the DNA they donated.

I'd never thought about it, but what happens to the donor's DNA when the blood is used?

Might be interesting if you had donated blood to, say Charles Manson, the day before he killed Sharon Tate et al.

Any technically correct data?

I highly doubt that would be the case. If nobody knows this I can find out by tomorrow night.

I either read a book or saw a movie about this. A crime was committed and the wrong person was accused. I wish I could remember. I think an organ transplant had caused it.

Anyway I don't think a transfusion would alter DNA but what do I know?
