Antrel Rolle would be a great pick. I only hope the Chiefs don't screw up and start winning some games to take us out of the top 10.

Hey! Them suckers have Oakland picking at #14!! Totally unfair.... our team is just as bad as the Kansas City Chiefs, and they have KC picking at #4!

Looks good to me.

We might be able to pick up another solid Safety in the 3rd.

Nice post. Thanks CanadaKC.

This is the line I really liked...

The team absolutely must go defense with this selection and come the start of the 2005 season we should be able to look back and sum up the theme of their offseason with one simple title: "Defense, Defense, and more Defense".

I'd rather have Derrick Johnson. Gimme someone who can tackle, please.

NFL Draft Countdown was the site I ended up following most last year. They ended up correctly predicting about 24 of the 1st round picks...

if we do, which is possible with this team, we have to find a way to trade up.

But would a Miami Huricane fit the 'Profile'?

(Rolle) While not an elite, shutdown corner prospect in the same mold as guys like Deion Sanders, Charles Woodson or Champ Bailey
:spock:

so going in we know that this guy isn't a premium corner, but we still pick him at the 4th pick???

He's not that great of a corner when you send him in motion.

DJ's the much safer pick, and probably the better player.

If Greg Rob inson likes this Johnson guy, you know that he'll be our pick. Dick Vermeil places a lot of emphasis on personal referrals - witness Ryan Sims.

Id be happy with either guy honestly. They are both Positions of GREAT need.

I want us to draft the guy named "Pac Man"... if we are going to suck.. might as well have a name like that so I can laugh every time I hear it

I am sick of the profile. Can he play good defense? That's the only question. Who cares if he's super nice. I wanta nasty streak on the defense.

yes, I realize you were being sacastic.

actually Rolle is a very good kid. He comes from a great family as well. Sometimes people are ignorant and assume players from Miami are thugs. For the most part these are high quality kids. For every Winslow there are numerous Ken Dorseys, Jonathon Vilma's, DJ Williams;, Frank Gore etc. You will be very lucky to get a guy like Antrel. He is a great prospect, he is a great cover guy and is a superb tackler for a corner. He is also a very good blitzer from the outside (see FSU 2004 season opener). Chief Fan should be ecstatic if this comes to pass.

I second the choice of Pac-Man Jones. If we're going to suck, I can't wait to hear the announcers say "Pac-Man just ate that RB" or "Pac-Man sure sucked it up and made a great tackle" or my favorite "Who in the F*ck would name a child Pac-Man?"

I'm going to go out on a limb with this but just stay with me here. I'm guessing its a nickname.

Actually, I wouldn't be so sure. His brothers' names are Metroid, Pong, and Double Dragon.

(Okay, so I made all that up.)

Actually, you guys have some draft position capital you could cash in on. You might get a 6th or 7th round pick for Diaper Boy..... and you could package that with a coupla of other picks to move up a slot.
