(Chuckle.) A past tenant in our apartment was a "cliff" diver at Casa Bonita. I've never been there, but I hear it's a high-class place.

I went there when I was a little kid... That was a *much* different experience than when I returned as an adult...

Oh for cryin out loud!

All the Planet folk we have stationed in Denver, and the rest of us are just hearing about this glorious event a month after the fact.

Hey, thanks for the heads up, douche bags.

I've heard that when you get your plate, you can often see bits of tinfoil around the edges from where they opened up the frozen dinner and microwaved it.

That pain in your gut followed by excruciating diarrhea is what those of us from Upstate NY commonly refer to as the Genny Screamers.

Indeed, it is...

It's on Colfax, if I remember correctly.

Wait... Casa Bonita is real?

Absolutely. The South Park portrayal is accurate; there are cliff divers, a fake jail, the whole shooting match. As a kid it's glorious... mmm..sopapillas (sp?) but as an adult it's a cheesy shack with bad food.

They sure do like Pabst products, don't they?

And seeing St Ides Malt in that last list makes me laugh. Have any of you ever tried the flavored St Ides beers? I never have but am not much of a beer drinker. Never understood why anyone would drink strawberry-kiwi flavored beer! :Lin:

Ah Colfax, the avenue of dreams. When I was a young pimp just starting to form my stable I used to go sit at the foot of the master G's runnin' they b*tches on the track. The pimp rod was applied with impugnity whenever them ho's got out of line. Sigh, the good ol' days.

In Phoenix they have a Colfax too. It's called Van Buren.

Damn, 28,000 people attended! I knew there were a lot of peeps, but not that many. Of course, most of them were probably out of focus.

So Casa Bonita is like the mexican version of Chuck E Cheese?

“Heineken?!

Heineken is great for scoring strange women in bars. You saddle up next to an unsuspecting gal while hiding your bottle of Heineken to your side. Look at her and say, "My name is Ken. Wanna see my heine?"
And then show her the bottle of Heineken. At this point, they think you're a dumbazz and end up going home with GoChiefs.

I don't feel like flying to Denver. I think I'll just wait a couple weeks for this instead.

Sounds great, but the hours suck: Time: 2pm to 6pm daily (last pour at 5:45)

I'm too lazy to look up the GABF in Denver, but I believe it goes on until 10PM or 11PM on Friday and Saturday nights..

They should have the Saturday event go until 10 or 11PM itself....

Then I'd have to recruit a designated driver. I don't know any sober people.
