With the dreadful season that the Chiefs are having this year, we needed a little pick-me-up in the family. My 19yr old moved out in July so we thought a family addition would be nice. So, I just got back from getting our 6 week old Cairn Terrier.

Cute little bugger and I will post a pic when I get a chance so all of you "worthless without pics" clowns, hold your horseys. Now, I need to come up with a good name.

Bob, tell Soph that she'd really like this guy!

That thing is cute as hell.

FYI, if you've never had a small dog before, take your shoes off indoors until it's full grown. They aren't quick enough to get from underfoot. I thought I killed ours one time wearing some hard soled shoes.

Working on that now. Hey, I won't be coming out for the Xmas game but maybe Denver. Since they moved the donkey game to noon, could I catch rides from airport Sat. night and out after the game Sunday night (about 6-7pm)? I have to be home and at work Monday morning.

The best friend I ever had was a Cairn terrier. I had a 150 acre farm and she just showed up one day. She went with me wherever I went. Then one day my house burned down while she was out hunting and I lost track of her. Two months later I moved a travel trailer back onto the property and Sissy promptly showed up. She had lived off the land (catching rabbits I guess) for two months without aid from humans (I guess). I didn't think any dog could live off the land nowadays and Sissy only weighed 6-7 pounds.

I was thinking about getting a Border Terrier. Why did you go with a Cairn Terrier? I sure is cute.

How cute - it's a ToTo!

I worked on the Wizard of Oz at Shawnee Mission Theater in the Park last year. The girl that played Dorthy was using her own Carin Terrier to play Toto. Very very cute little guy.

Had two Cairns in my lifetime. They are quite smart and are very good with kids. Very cute too. Had to have the first one put to sleep at ten years old due to pancreatic cancer and my parents gave away the other one but they were both great little dogs.

Cool. We just got a puppy too. My nephew and his girlfriend had it with them on Thanksgiving. She works at a pet store and didn't want to leave the puppy there by itself. The wife fell in love with it so we went to the pet store the next day and got it.

I remember when we went and picked up our little boston terrier, she was 7 wks old , she is now 2 years, she is so beautiful, I have never been an animal person, but I let my kids get their first indoor pet 2 years ago, my kids are 19 and 20, but when my daughter moved I let her take "sassy" with her, I really miss her a lot. :(
