The number one team and number two teams should play each other in the national championship game.

They are only 1 and 2 because they were 1 and 2 to start the season.

They are only 1 and 2 because they were 1 and 2 to start the season. And they never lost. The two best teams are playing for the national championship.

Auburn gets the shaft.Auburn should schedule tougher opponents. They shafted themselves.

So what?

Neither did Auburn.

If they were ranked in the top two to start the season would they be one of the "two best teams?"

MM is right, preseason polls (which are arbitrary) decided this...

but I don't care...college football can't hold a candle to college BB and March Madness...Bowl Games count for nothing

Sorry MM I did not know the BCS ranking method had changed to not include strength of schedule.

Still Oklahoma did play Texas 5, Texas Tech 21 and Texas A&M 25 which IMO is a about the same strength of schedule as Tennesse 15th twice and LSU at 11th

USC facing Cal at 4, Va Tech 9 and Arizona State 24 probably faced the toughest opponents of the three whcih is why I rank them as #1.
