Attach the image, sluggo. That sight does not allow hotlinking.

Truthfully to me, it looks like a logo that was scuffed off during the game.

I've never seen that before. It looks like it could be a skinny Jayhawk. They've changed the Jayhawk design several times but I've never seen that one.

KU used to have a logo history page somewhere...

It looks to me like a skinny jayhawk with its beak pointing downard somewhat. I can make out the beak, body and legs and from there you can just barely make out a head. The logo looks smudged and the pic is faded.

It's clearly a jayhwak and an exclamation point. As in, the jayhawk is screaming right before beaking your ass. Stupids.

Rock Chalk Bull Dog?

Steve Jansen, historian for the Watkins Community Museum in Lawrence, said that before KU adopted the costumed 3-D Jayhawk, it had another on-field mascot. "One of the pictures shows that the bulldog was KU's original mascot he said, referring to a drawing of a black and white bulldog holding a red college pennant with a blue "K." "We don't know that much about it. But at one time, they were known as the Kansas University Bulldogs," he said.

They were playing Fresno State that day, and IIRC, it was one of our players lugies.

KU didn't play Fresno State, K-State did. But other than that you're dead on.

They will need to find some offense before they play anyone very powerful.

If they can stay healthy i'd say they should have a decent offense. IMO the biggest ? is at QB. They also lose 2 of their starting O-Line IIRC, the biggest impact being at Center. Their defense is the force to be reckoned with....

They had what...Four starting QB's last year? They ought to be able to find one out of that group. Buddah is an offensive coach so he should be able to handle it. It just takes longer to build an O than it does a D.

They had a good O with Bill Whittemore at the helm. Yeah they had 4 Starting QBs at the helm last year, and they all showed "flashes" of success.

Adam Barrman was the QB going in to the year, then he got hurt.
Jason Swanson took over, he got hurt.
John Nielseon (who graduates) took over, he got hurt.
Brian Luke took over after that, and ended the season on an upnote, THRASHING Mizzou.

Barman, Swanson, Luke return and Marcus Herford is a RS Freshman. They will also probably pick up a QB or two in recruiting this year and redshirt him.

I expect Barman to be the starter next year, though.

I don't know why but KU's QB's always get hurt. 2002 Whittemore got hurt, 2003 Whittemore got hurt, 2004 Barman gets hurt. Seems to be their story.
