This article was on the Chief's web site today. If its on the "official" web site, it must be a reflection of how the Chiefs feel about their fans. I would gues that maybe 80% or more of Chiefs fans listen to Sports Tlak Radio. I listen to WHB every day and enjoy it. Kevin Keitzman called the Chiefs and they said they were going to take it off the website. That was at 11:00 a.m. and I read it at 7:30 p.m., so I guess they really don't want to take it off the website! So I guess I fit the person Rufus Dawes portays in the article. I guess I am an idiot who coves soft beds, pots of beer, and voluptous women! Read the article and let everyone know how you feel. :banghead: Like I said, if it was on the "official" website, it must reflect how the Chiefs feel about their fans. Maybe if they put a good product on the field, talk radio might be more positive about the Chiefs! I will always be a fan and pull for them every Sunday, might I may think twice about dropping $200 for a ticket and parking for one to a game from now on! :( :stupid:

I don't associate the way the Chiefs feel about thier fans with this article.

I love the Chiefs and sports and have zero intrest in sports radio.

But alas, life is made of decisions...and if this article makes you not want to spend money on the Chiefs then that is your decision to make.

Wow! What more can I say. Wow!

This is how the Chiefs brass views us fans? What is next, an article on Discussion Forum Person, someone who favors porn, sloth, and pork rinds?

The opinions offered in this column do not necessarily reflect those of the Kansas City Chiefs.

This is at the end of every article posted on kcchiefs.com.

As to the negativity of sports talk radio, it is just a sign of the times. It is the sports equivalent of the shock jock.

Rufus Dawes isn't the authors real name. A lot of people think he is the Chiefs PR guy, not sure his name. Personally, I think it's evil Carl :)

And you believe this?

No, negativity is due to the fact that the Chiefs are horrible this year. If you are a fan, you want your team to win.
No winning, no happy=negativity.

Your first part is speculation...you are mroe than welcome to believe it but don't be shocked if others dont agree with you...

Also, sports talk radio is negative weather the team is winning or losing...

Sports Talk Radio is at it's best when the team doesn't win. I wonder what the Sports Talk guys do in New England? They've gotta feel like a Maytag repairman.

The truth is, there has always been "Sports talk man" The internet and sports talk radio are just giving us more of an open forum to air out our grievances. Its more public now than 10, 20, 30 years ago.....

But sports talk radio and BBs like this have also had a hand in changing the sports talk man IMO.

sent to the Chiefs:

I've never called one of these sports talk radio shows. And I would agree that some of these hosts are unreasonably hostile towards the Kansas City Chiefs but I do listen on the way to and from work to these radio shows.

As a season ticket holder I don't appreciate the charecterization of sports talk radio listeners as simple minded buffons being posted on my teams website. I'm offended by the tone of the article and would like an apology from the Kansas City Chiefs.

We are in the midst of a down year and you are going to bite the hand that feeds you? Does the Kansas City Chiefs care about their season ticket holders? Don't you think that a lot of your season ticket holders listen to sports talk radio?

I have stuck by the Chiefs during the down times and the up times. My butt is in the seats yelling encouragement to my team every game regardless of their record or weather. Please be more respectful of your fans in the future. Go Chiefs!

Man, if I really thought all of the things you do I would not be a Cheifs fan. I just couldn't fathom having that much spite for the people who run something and still supporting them.

To each their own of course. ROFL

I was a Chiefs fan long before King Carl came to town. I will be a Chiefs fan long after he's gone. I shall cheer no other. Go

We wouldn't have to suffer through the wrath of Rufus "Bob" Moore if we had just been good, obedient cattle and passed Bi-State II.
