I didn't even see it, as I avoid shitty movies.

She's nothing special. I thought she was alot older than 38. Julianne Moore is almost 50 and I'd rather hit that.

“Deep Impact” made the mistake of taking a serious approach to an absurd plot.

Silly plot + inappropriate gravitas = embarrassing flick.

“Armageddon” was a lot more fun.

Way too married to even THINK about Tea Leoni.

Tea Leoni looked good in that Family Man movie with Nick Cage.

Any movie that can even be compared to Armageddon has got to suck.

Why do you think I have Boogie Nights?

Well, because it's a good movie, to be honest. But the fact that she's topless in it certainly doesn't make it worse.

Deep Impact sounds familiar, what is it about?

Where is the "Crappy movie, but not the steaming dung pile that Armageddon was" option?

That would get my vote.

Like Gaz always says, you gotta turn off your brain. Once I did that, it was an OK movie. I thought Armageddon was OK, too. Neither were real good by any means. But they weren't bad, either.

I am a big fan of the "End of the World" genre.

I thought the movie was o.k, but the romantic angle with that Chick being portrayed as the goddess of the after asteroid mankind kind of sucked.

I can suspend disbelief for a minute, but come on, landing on an asteroid?

The premise of Deep Impact wasn't that far fetched. Yeah it was stupid, but it looked like Skakespeare compared to the dog turd that is Armageddon.

Appropriate to use Armageddon as the comparison, IMO.

Both sucked ass :thumb:

I liked the part toward the end when Tea and her dad hugged on the shore, while a 500ft. wave annihilated them.

Their pain was over. Unfortunately, mine continued on to the end of the movie.

“Deep Impact” and “Armageddon” were both “turn your brain off” movies. Once I turn off my brain, a movie has to give me eye candy and fun. Both films provided eye candy, but only “Armageddon” delivered the fun. “Deep Impact” tried to be a serious depiction of the situation, but ended up being just silly.

If you have a butt-kicking surround sound system, go ahead and rent “Armageddon.” Turn your brain off before you hit play and it can be worth your time. See “The Core” “The Day After Tomorrow” “Independence Day” and that ilk.

There is no way to make “Deep Impact” worth a rental.

Managed to have fun at “Armageddon” but was funless at “Deep Impact.”
