Hicks isn't going anywhere. They just signed him to a new contract this past off season.

Besides, I think he has pictures of CP boning DV from behind.

Not really suprising...now that Duane doesnt play for the Chiefs, his play improves. I thought that was a given.

I think it is in the Lexicon somewhere.

Coming off the 2002 season, one player had 9 sacks the other had 2 sacks. When Clemons was dropped, I dont remember many stating that Hicks should have gone instead...

Hicks was supposed to come back to form under Gunther and get 14 sacks again.

Perhaps he would if he was playing next to a dominant DT. Chester McFatass could be a nightmare when he wanted to. Problem was, he only 'wanted to' about 40% of the time.

IIRC, his signing bonus was only 3 million over a 5 year contract. That would mean he has 2.4 million left on the books. After June 1st, it would be 1.2 million against the cap against 2005, and 1.2 against 2006.

Might cost more than that to keep him actually.

Between the two, I'd prefer Hicks. I think he's the better player.

But then, Cinci has help for Clemons.

I know that I have hated Hicks for a long time. I think that Phobia was in that camp, too, but I can't remember for sure. There were others... Yeah, I'm pretty sure Hicks proved himself to be a one-year wonder and wore out his welcome a long time ago.

I went back to around late February of 2003 on this BB...right around the beginning of FA and the time Clemons was cut.

I've yet to find any mention of Hicks going instead or Hicks being cut outright.

If you can find anything, I'd appreciate it, because I dont recall it....

Clemons was not a good fit for Robinson's pathetic system.

He was actually pretty good under Gunther.
