Yeah there's a lot of gems over at the Mane this evening... this from a some kind of insider or reporter (isn't he?...Wabbit) who supposedly knows what goes on behind the scenes...

I'm told that Shanahan is very, very pissed...about the incident, but also Plummer's game management.

His play selections ALWAYS...well, almost always, include run options. As I'm hearing it...Jake almost NEVER takes the safer option, sometimes resulting in game-changing disaster.

I'm also told that Shanahan took over play-calling exclsuively in the fourth quarter...essentially telling Kubiak to hit the press buffet

Shanahan didn't give Jake any options...he told him specifically, exactly, threateningly...any way necessary to get him to listen...what he wanted him to do...nothing else...only that...who to throw to on the rare occassions he allowed him to throw, but mostly, give it to so & so...no options...no decisions. Pass not there...throw it away.

This comes froma side-line reporter who I have no reason to doubt...so you can pretty much count on the accurancy.

Predictable. Template John strikes again! The difference being there's really been only one excuse for Trent given by any fans (terrible WR's... which is a whole other hypocritical argument the way Bronco fans ride Kennison). It's a far different animal for fans defending Plummer, we could start a best-selling book with some of these ideas....

"Oh it was tipped by the defender in the endzone, that's not Jake's fault, that defender guy shouldn't have been there."

"The D-line just tipped it accidently."

"The offensive line is too short to keep defenders from blocking passes, it's not Jake's fault."

"Kubiak just calls the wrong plays."

"Solar flares momentarily corrupted the amount of gravitational force in the stadium forcing Jake's ball to sail high."

"He must have just forgotten he was right handed for a moment. I'm still behind him, 100%."

"He must've hyper-extended his right finger flipping off the fans which caused future throws to be errant. That's okay though, if the other offensive players would've stepped up and flipped those fans off to pick up the slack, we wouldn't have this problem. Go Jake!"

What a joke. And you know it's a joke too, and are probably pretty thankful that the Search Engine is down.

Doesn't Trent have the most INTs by a quarterback in a season that year?

Trent was coddled and pampered like a rookie by half of you.

Plummer smack is pretty futile when you've got Trent Green as a quarterback.

You're crazy... there was a lot of anti-Trent sentiment... don't forget that "TrINT" was started by Chiefs fans, that wasn't born out of rival smack.

Let's also not forget Trent was in his first year here coming off multiple knee surgeries with Larry Parker, Snoop Minnis, and Chris Thomas as his WR corps... you put Jake in that situation and it'd be a certified disaster. Trent's more than proven that season was an aberration when compared to his career as a whole. Jake on the other hand has pretty much proven that throwing the interception is status-quo.... I just think it's hilarious I can go over and argue and watch Bronco fans scream until their heads fall off about how Jake has an excuse for every single thing he's done in an 8 year career while hanging their hat for talking smack on one bad season of a rival QB.... it's like me trying to rationalize saying that Eric Hicks is as good as Trevor Pryce.

Right now, Jake Plummer is in the playoff hunt. Trent Green is in the hunt for the best spot on the couch. What's your next excuse for that? You going to give me a line about your defense? When you going to quit making excuses for Trent?

Please. At least if you're going to talk smack about making excuses, try to refrain from making excuses for your quarterback and his failures.

Heck, you could go as far as to say one really bad game, where he was owned by Deltha O'Neal.... that has turned into an eternity of unnecessary crap. That's kinda the difference though, Trent makes mistakes, he's made some big mistakes even this year, like the INT in the Houston game for instance. My original point was simply an observation that even I know that Trent is far from perfect, he's made plenty of mistakes and like most any QB has thrown some bad INT's.... while I can read the Bronco fan saying stuff like (paraphrase) "Jake threw the first INT that was really his fault in quite a while today." It's no big deal, I just find it humorous... it's always just a bad bounce or just some chance thing that always bites him, he's just the unluckiest guy in the league...

I kinda like the photo... I've wanted to do the same things to folks that "claimed" to be DEN fans the last few weeks at the bar. Ah well, it happens... right now, I hate Bailey's play more than anything that Jake has done. He's made some bad passes, but damn... how many tipped balls can turn into INTs for one guy in one season?

What a joke. And you know it's a joke too, and are probably pretty thankful that the Search Engine is down.

Doesn't Trent have the most INTs by a quarterback in a season that year?

Trent was coddled and pampered like a rookie by half of you.

Plummer smack is pretty futile when you've got Trent Green as a quarterback.

yikes, sand in th vagina.....you can tell when taco is really bothered, the quality of his smack drops significantly ROFL

I'm just referring to this year... look at last week 3 of them were tipped, then the one yesterday was tipped. I'm not absolving him of any wrong doing, but theses just aren't passes going directly to the defender.

Now, it would have been bad had had climbed the railing with both fingers extended and shouting "die m*ther f*cker, die". But, this casual behind the had bird was classic.

Yeah, and you guys are a constant mystery... I have not given him a full pass on his mistakes. If you have read my comments to be that, then so be it. I've stated that Plummer is a QB that is going to make a fan of that team say "WTF?" a few times a game. I also see his upside.

Everyone wants to blame DEN's issues on Plummer... I'm simply saying there's a guy named Bailey getting a 'get out of jail free' card for playing like hell in big games.

Plummer has played really well in a number of games. You guys would never admit it - which is expected and predictable.

I don't think I'm rationalizing the finger gesture... I just really don't think it's that big of a deal. Kennison could have done that to the DEN crowd and I would have thought it was funny.

Career TD/INT ratio

Green 124/76
Plummer 127/138

Until Plummet gets on the plus side of things, you need to STFD & STFU. You can rip Green for his one bad year, but keep in mind Plummer only has one good year...And it's clear that was just as much an aberration as Green's bad year.

I really don't think it's all Jake's fault... I had just been reading people over at the Mane say stuff like Jake threw the first INT that was his fault in a while yesterday, and I couldn't resist talking some smack over it. I personally think 2 of the interceptions last week probably weren't his fault, and the last two were... and just that now with Jake some people are breaking down each individual INT and chalking them up as bad luck. Honestly if Chiefs fans didn't have to hear 3-4 years of Bronco fans hanging onto "TrINT" I probably wouldn't have said anything, I just think it's funny how much they like to bash a rival QB when their own has no room to talk... that's what I do here, point out hypocrisies.... :)

Trust me ... I understand. You guys actually came up with TrINT, right? Anyway, Plummer has a bad image and is viewed as an INT machine and it's up to him to reverse it. Until the last 2 games - his fault or not - he was well on his way to doing that.
