The Chiefs' Playoff Picture.

Okay, we're in the playoffs as long as the following happens.

1. The Chiefs win every remaining game against Denver, Oakland, and @San Diego.

2. New England, the New York Jets, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and San Diego are all clinched to be ahead of us. We don't care about these teams any more, other than beating San Diego.

3. We're competing with the following teams for the final playoff spot:

Denver (8-5) - Remaining games against @Kansas City, @Tennessee, Indianapolis

Baltimore (8-5)- Remaining games against @Indianapolis, @Pittsburgh, Miami

Buffalo (7-6)- Remaining games against @Cincinnati, San Francisco, Pittsburgh

Jacksonville (7-6)- Remaining games against @Green Bay, Houston, @Oakland

Cincinnati (6-7)- Remaining games against Buffalo, New York Giants, @Philadelphia

Houston (5-8)- Remaining games against @Chicago, @Jacksonville, Cleveland

Tennessee (4-9)- Remaining games against @Oakland, Denver, Detroit

Oakland (4-9)- Remaining games against Tennessee, Kansas City, Jacksonville

4. Our own continued victories will keep us ahead of Oakland and Tennessee. They're out.

5. We need Chicago or Cleveland to beat Houston and have them win against Jacksonville.

6. We want Cincinnati to beat Buffalo and then lose to both the New York Elis and the Philadelphia Eagles.

7. Jacksonville is a problem. We need them to lose all of their remaining games.

8. We want Buffalo to lose all three of their remaining games.

9. Baltimore has to lose at least all three of their remaining games.

10. Denver needs to lose all three of their remaining games. We can keep that going next week.

The key games to watch this weekend are:

Buffalo at Cincinnati - Goooooo Cincy!
Denver at Kansas City - Um, let's root for KC here, okay?
Houston at Chicago - Goooooo Chicago!
Jacksonville at Green Bay - Goooooo Green Bay!

SF doesn't have to beat buffalo if Cincy does. Chiefs would win a tie breaker against Buffalo if both teams finished at 8-8 by virtue of better AFC conference record.

As much of a disappointment as this season has been, we have yet to be eliminated.... and if we win the next three out, whether we make the playoffs or not, that will be 1-2 from the Donkeys, 1-2 from the Bolts and 2-2 from the Raiders... that will suffice me until next Sept.
