The Wimpy Fans of the Year award goes to the 100 or so San Diego Chargers fans who actually complained to Chargers management because they got wet while watching the Chargers-Bronco game Dec. 5 at Qualcomm Stadium.

That game marked the first time it had rained at a Chargers home game since the 1992 playoffs against the Chiefs.

Apparently there were leaks in the upper bowl of the stadium and some fans got sprinkled on below. Others complained that there were streams of water running by their feet.

Oh, the humanity!

The Chargers apparently have sent apology letters to the 30 or so fans who complained the loudest, with each letter containing a $100 voucher for merchandise and concessions at the stadium.

Wow. I think I'll complain about the cold weather this weekend and see if I can get a voucher for buying stuff at Arrowhead.

San Diego has is having its best season in years and when fans grumble they get $100 vouchers.

The Chiefs are struggling, having one of the worst years in recent memory and when the fans complain management writes articles criticizing them or sends emails to them saying tough luck, stop watching games if you don't like the product.
