I officially want to throw up now.

The Yanks got Johnson tonight. In a 3 team deal, the Yankees sent Javier Vazquez, Dioner Navarro and another prospect to the Dodgers.

The Dodgers then sent Brad Penny and Shawn Green to the DiamondBacks, and they also acquired a top prospect.

This sucks. Johnson, Pavano, Mussina, Wright and Brown form a great rotation.

I hate the Yankees. More than I hate Bon Jovi.

Fugg the Yankees....and baseball.

Until they adopt a cap, they can suck my left nut. I'll watch the History channel instead of watchin' NY, Boston, Atlanta, and LA battle it out every year...

The Yanks are cursed.

:hmmm: Sexton leaves for Seattle and is replaced with a younger and better Green. Penny is an up and coming pitcher. Not bad for my D-Backs. I will miss Randy but this really should be his final year.

Did you see they brought Counsell back the other day?

I've got a buddy who probably jizzed in his shorts when he heard the news.

I saw that just now when I went to their site. I don't follow baseball much during the offseason.

Council is okay. He is kind of like Maz, a blue collar hard worker without a lot of skills. Have to admire them for trying so hard but he is not the guy to take you to the top either.

I imagine now that their rotation is set they will probably now focus on him.

Anyone know what their current payroll is? It has to be way over 200mil after their pitching acquisitions.

Yeah i think they were really close to 200mil and i dont think they really had any big free agents. Its not that bad that they lost with that payroll since they lost to a team that had around a 160 mil payroll in Boston.

The exonomics of MLB are complete crap.

I agree. I can't stand baseball anymore. I hate the way the league is run.

If i wasnt a fan of an NL team i wouldnt be nearly as interested in baseball. The AL is a complete mess with the big spenders. Oakland is the only small/mid market team that compete but that window is closing as they start to lose their pitching to free agency. They dont have enough money to pay for a bullpen to win in the postseason either.

Latest report on ESPN says the deal may fall through, because Green may not want to leave LA (he has a no-trade clause).
