View Full Version : That was the most painful loss in the post-Elway era...

Its because you fully expected to win the game. That, and you severly underestimated the Chiefs.

Ending your playoff hopes couldn't have helped, either.

Yes. The Bengals were playing their first MNF game in almost 20 years. I expected they would come out intense and braced for the potential for a loss prior to the game.

Yes, talking trash. You could 'handle' the loss to Indy because it was at the hands of Peyton Manning... i.e. you could handle it because you lost to a 'superior' talent/team.

You're not clever. You may fool some people, but I know your act.

It must really hurt to only be able to score ten points against the worst defense ever to play the game. That would probably earn the Broncos the title of having the worst offense ever to play the game.

Jake is nails, even when he makes early mistakes. The guy doesn't get down on himself, forgets his errors, and just goes out and does his job. The receiving corp is nails all around. Lelie is the deep threat that we need Ö We're getting it done in the red zone. We can strike from downfield Ö This is it. This is as good a team as we've ever had since Elway left. If not now, when?

This is it.

Resign jake and never know how many mistakes you will have to over come in every game. Draft a rookie and start over. The really bad part must be that not only did the Chiefs beat Denver but they completely destroyed and embarrassed them.

That on top of the fact that Denver has only managed to beat 1 team with a .500 or above record this season while KC has beaten Baltimore, Atlanta, Indianapolis and the utter living shit out of the Broncos.

I mean really, that must be like rubbing salt in the wound when you have as good of a chance to end up with the same record as the Chiefs but with less quality wins as you do to come out a game or two better but still miss the playoffs.

P.S. Thanks for all the comic relief in your Chiefs give up thread.

By the way, did the Chiefs give the game ball to Plummer?Yes but he kept giving it back to them over and over again.

Congrats...

None of them hurt nearly as bad as this one does... Even the Indy game last year, I could forget about because it was Peyton Freaking Manning doing the shredding...

Ouch.
I'm not surprised. You guys have been having a tough time getting it up at HOME this year, much less Arrowhead in December, which the Chiefs have total PWNAGE on the Denver Di**less.

The really bad part must be that not only did the Chiefs beat Denver but they completely destroyed and embarrassed them.

That on top of the fact that Denver has only managed to beat 1 team with a .500 or above record this season while KC has beaten Baltimore, Atlanta, Indianapolis and the utter living shit out of the Broncos.Hey... we beat the utter living shit out of the Vicklanta Falcons, too.

Da.vid could play SmackVarsity for that team.

Exactly. Being a playmaker doesn't mean you're a great quarterback.
And this is the the problem I see with labeling Jake as a "playmaker". To me the label "playmaker" is a positive term. It indicates that the person does things to "help" his team, not hurt it.

That's a dumb statement. Boller was one of the most mobile QB's in recent memory. Plummer and Boller are almost identical in every way, shape, and form...

Boller's pretty mobile but he's not as mobile as Plummer.
