View Full Version : Post your gifts 2004

Bob Dole

In the spirit of holiday seasons past, Bob Dole would like to kick off the 2004 version of the annual "Post your gifts" thread. Pictures are preferred, but vivid written descriptions are acceptable.

Bob Dole will start off with a gift received from his employees yesterday morning. While many people here consider Bob Dole to be an asshole or some sort of Post Nazi, this heartfelt departmental gift clearly illustrates that your assumptions are fairly on-target and others--who know Bob Dole better--share your insignificant little opinion.

I got a thing from the guy who runs http://www.yodaguy.com

He made Yoda, for the SW movies. It is basically a framed casting sheet, some pictures (autographed by him), and other stuff. Pretty neat.

I got a texas hold em set, a $50 best buy gift card (which I bought Simpsons Season 5, and Napoleon Dynamite with today), the Seinfeld gift set, Looney Tunes Golden Collection volume 2, a Chiefs Hat, Viva la Bam season 1, some Channukah gelt, and a framed Chiefs lithograph thing.

That was for Channukah, i'm celebrating Present Day at the g/f's house.

I'm not really much of a connoisseur... I just drink everything. If you're looking for Scotch, you might consult fraz. Tho, I'm thinking all he drinks is Macallan. On the rare occassion I buy scotch, I usually just get some blended like JWB or DeWar's. It gets the job done, and the way I drink I can't really justify dropping $80 on a fifth.

Not sure who to refer you to for other whiskeys. I believe raiderhader to be a bourbon fan, but I'm not sure how much sampling he's done of all the varieties out there.

Did anyone give a crap about "Kevin" before Rain Man?

You're right. The marketing value of the correct username is worth its weight in gold. The question is whether gochiefs is still right for you considering your shift in branding and awareness. Perhaps I should do a little market research for you and identify the name that best associates people with your BB-posting product.

I got a bag of yellow snow. I'm not kidding. It's lemon candy, but it looks like yellow snow. Uh....thanks. Actually its pretty funny.

Now that I'm an old married guy my wife and I usually go in together to get something nice for the house, or something we can both use. This year we got a new camcorder, Panasonic 3-chip mini DV. Very cool camera, has the same basic 3-CCD camera "guts" inside as the Panasonic professional video cameras.

How sad is it that almost everything I got is either Chiefs related or sports related. I do have other interests but for some reason they think all I like is football. I don't know where they got that idea.

Chiefs calendar
Trent Green jersey
Chiefs Sweatshirt
Chiefs blanket
Nike Sweatshirt, pants, and shirt

I think so, but I never played the regular game. I just got the Platinum for Christmas. However here's a article that I was reading about the differences.

http://hearts-of-iron.wargamer.com/articles/changes.html

I'm not sure if it will make a difference when playing it online, or if it would give me the unfair advantage because of the changes.

Really sucks though with all these different formats as I had a homemade DVD I purchased of a concert that would not play in my other two units and I thought for sure this unit would be compatible,no such luck.

I got a sprint one...it has treated me pretty well...the photo service is 5 bucks a month which lets me send the pictures to email and it also gives you an online gallery type things to upload them to.

I mostly like it for my website...I can send the pics to an e-mail addy and it is auotmatically posted to the site or put in a gallery I have made. I am big into remembering things.

It has taken some ok pictures...

I'm incredibly pleased with their service. It beats the shit out of Sprint - in KC, no less. I am only disappointed with the picture phone features. I thought it would be of higher quality and I didn't think downloads would cost me a quarter each.
