Richard Scott - was he the fat guy that always did the morning weather on the NBC Today Show?

Yeah, That's him. KU is now using fat weathermen in the low post.

Funny thing is if that were true we'd still kick the sorry tiggers' ass :D

Scott was good...but he was no Chris Piper.

hehehe

What I always liked about Scott was how he would dominate the paint. He didn't score a lot or grab all the rebounds (avg 10ppg, 4.4rpg), but he blocked out and kept the other team from scoring and grabbing rebounds. He was a bruiser... something we rarely had under Williams; a player type I expect tot see more of w/ Self at the helm :thumb:

You forgot to mention Scott was "All-Shaq" in the free throw shooting department.
Roy had to yank him in crunch time.do the offense/defense substiution.

Kinda like Langford now. I swear, that dude needs to start taking jump shots from the charity stripe. He'll hit a higher percentage, I guarantee it.

Giddens & Lee need to make the rain fall from the arc.

Miles and Langford will also need to score a bit more. It's going to take a team effort to make up for the loss of Simien... he's the best player in the Big XII, ffs.

As if they didn't already look pretty darn tough.

HC,
What is the deal with Langford anyways. As a freshman, he was ice in the vains at shooting free throws and crunch time shots. Remember those FTs against Illinois in the tourney? For some reason, his FT shooting has gone way down the last 2 seasons. WTF?

we need to have Giddens be the high post passer in the high/low half court setup.

the other team will have to honor the shot at the top of key if giddens is out there and it might open up the paint a little more.
