Trent Green got SCREWED.

Yeah, he got screwed alright.

He's currently THIRD in the LEAGUE in passing yards, will eclipse 4000 this weekend, has a 2:1 TD:INT ratio (which I expect to see improve before the season's end), has completed 66% of his passes this season, is pushing 100 for the season qb rating and he gets snubbed.

The effing _efense should be fined, collectively, and that sum should be paid to Trent in lieu of a PB paycheck. :grr:

Yep, he was better this season than Brady and Rothlisburger. If the KC defense was at least decent, Trent would probably be there.

The Pro Bowl is supposed to be the best players at their positions, not the position players for the best teams, that is what the Super Bowl is for. However, it seems that how your team is doing matters more than how you performed. In reality, if you put up Pro Bowl numbers with losing team, are you not achieving more with less compared to the person on the winning team who has more to work with to begin with. Treant will be among the elite with a third straight year of over 90 QB rating, even the almighty Manning has never done that, but consistency is backseat to flash in todays NFL. GO CHIEFS and TRENT.

yes. Any other Trent Green did not make the probowl bitch fests are not official. This is the one.

I would have been PISSED if Roethlisberger made it. Brady however, I have no problem with.

Officially, Green got screwed...but somebody always does.

I haven't seen Green make a shi**y throw like Brady did on MNF this week (for the 2nd time).

It should have been Trent!

what about brees? Does brees even deserve to be in over Brady? IMO, green deserves the honor before either brees or brady.

Uhm....does the Houston game ring a bell?

Brees is deserving. His numbers are close to Trent's, plus he has the advantage of team victories.

If he had the same numbers, but they were losing/.500, I'd wager my paycheck Roethlesberger would have made it instead of him.

Not really...my short term memory ain't what it used to be. Did Green try to make a throw from his a$$?

And that one throw should override the 27 of 28 regular season winning streak directed by Brady?

This thread is just silly, Trent played on a team that sucks ass this year. Teams that don't win almost never get a QB in the Pro Bowl.

Not necessarily, but the PRO Bowl should be for individual accomplishments, not team accomplishments; that's what the Super Bowl is for.

However, I do see your point. What can I say...I'm just a homer.

I think Dante was the most "screwed" guy on the team... his stats weren't as great but that's because teams really kick away from him and plan for him more than maybe any special teams player in NFL history. Kinda the "Barry Bonds theory" that lets him win the MVP every year despite not having the best numbers because people don't pitch to him...

This is bullshit.

Green deserved to go in 2002 but got snubbed because usually players have to wait a year after their first good year.

Brees is beating the system.

It's the f*cking Pro Bowl. No game plan, no blitzing.

Only Rich Gannon's biggest fan cares what happens in that game.

The 5-8 Chiefs have 5 players going to the pro bowl, all of whom are "regular" position players.

The 12-2 Patriots have 4, two of whom are "just" special teams players.

So forgive any lack of sympathy on my part.
