Heckuva hit. Heckuva hit.

They just showed a replay of Dante's return. It's interesting that Tony R. is on kickoff blocking now, but it may not be a coincidence that Dante is on a roll since that happened.

Why can a KC Chiefs line with 3 probowlers, not keep a 3 man rush out of the backfield?

I'm pretty sure the Oline must have eaten a turkey and drank a gallon of eggnog at halftime. Rediculous.

Johnson ran the ball, average at best today...I thought he was more tenative again.

Tynes made the last kick, but the KOs to the 20 are unacceptable.

Ive said this all along. They are much better run blockers than pass blockers. They are not the best O-Line when it comes to pass blocking.

I would rather have them finish the season with the confidence that they can win. It will help more next year than rookie draft picks that probably won't make a contribution.

if they are 8-8 or 0-16 they still won't be going to the playoffs

I don't know about that. Jared Allen and Samie Parker has contributed big time in this game IMHO. Didn't hear much about Junior, but he didn't do too shabby I would think.

IMHO,

Al Saunders called one of the worst games of his career. Johnson did not get fed the rock near enough against the Rai der D in the first half. Had we established him early, LJ may have had another 100. As it was he got 80.

That said, I do understand why AS threw the ball more against the weak/inexperienced corners the Rai ders put on the field today. They were horrible.

It could be that our OLine, while very, very good, gets worn out in pass protection after 45 attempts. (not an excuse just a supposition.)

As for the KO's, I just don't think there is a kicker made who can kick a "K" ball in Kansas City in the cold weather. I've just come to expect KO's between the 10 and 20 in December and January.

We won't be 0-16, and I doubt if we are 8-8 next season. We need to sign some free agent D help, and we'll be a lot better team next year. Are you always this negative on Christmas day? You must be a blast at your family get togethers.

I think they tried to get LJ involved early there just wasn't any production there. I was perplexed on some of the play calling especially at the end when they should have ran the clock out. But I guess the way it turned out its a good thing they didn't run more time off.

Just wanted to pop in and say nice game, congratulations, and I hope y'all had a Merry Christmas.

Personally, I knew we were f***ed as soon as I saw Janikowski squib kick. Ah, well... I went out to the garage, smoked a cigarette, came back in and carved the turkey and didn't think about it the rest of the night.

Have we played on Christmas Day since 1971? I'm hoping that this will finally destroy the curse that descended upon us that day.
It decended the Chiefs on ME that day.

Calcountry
12-27-2004, 12:30 PM
We have only played once on Christmas Day and that was the 1971, "longest game ever played."

Let's hope today has better results.
That is why, to this day, The Miami Dolphins are the team that I hate the most.

What's with the camera shot on the KOs?
Not just there, they were using that a lot througout the game. They would stay with a close up angle thing that really sucked.

:shake: Glad to see, I wasn't the only one that was irritated by it.

I am calling playcalling... Trent should have never been in a passing situation.. Saunders is at fault for those shitty calls..
AGREED 100%, I was screaming at the TV for over a minute on that. I was saying run, before the snap. My Dad thought I had completely lost my mind.

How the fug does Al get paid to make calls like that.

Calcountry
12-27-2004, 02:59 PM
Come on Dante! Win this fugging game for us!
Now at this time, the DierDORKs and co, started pimpin Dante, and my Dad goes, "He aint gonna do nothing, they act like he is unstoppable".

To which I replied, "Dad, he is THAT good, that is why they are hyping him".

My Dad, bless his heart, is not as avid a fan as I, comes back with this retort, "Yeah we'll see".

To which I respond, "OH, SO YOU DOUBT DANTE???"

The rest was history. :p Me jumping up and down screaming,
SO NOW DO YOU DOUBT DANTE????
