He should worry more about not being able to catch guys from behind.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Champ Bailey is a Pro Bowler and McPeon, Whorefield and Toast Bartee are not.

You are just jealous.

Yup, did you see all our jealousy last week? We really needed someone like Bailey, didn't we?

Maybe, but I wouldn't be a dumbass and trade away my best RB for him - it sure hasn't helped denver this year.

Well...let's take a look thus far...they enforce the rule differently...there's a guy that's about to set a new passing TD record that's stood for almost 20 years. They could be related.

Can you imagine how horrible PLummer would look against KC if they had Probowl CBs Boardin'?

or you believe in crop circles and ass probes..

I guess all the other QB that threw close for 30tds in previous years should be nearer to Peyton??

Where is Mcnabbs 45tds???
Culpepper should easily have 50tds already..
Farve should be in the 40's with this rule also..

If your reason was valid more QB would be right next to him or just behind him...

There is not that big of difference between TDs thrown by Qb's last year and this year.. Only difference is Peyton broke it out and they do not run it in...

Most of those QB's all have 4+ TD games...and some have multiple 5 TD games. Mcnabb has thrown for 600 more yards right now then he's ever thrown before. Culpepper is at 1000 yards over any that he's thrown before. Culpepper has also thrown 12 more TD's than he's thrown before. Mcnabb is at 7 more. The most Manning has ever thrown is 33.

So you understand now? The enforcement change makes a difference. You have to be a crazy to think otherwise.

They did not change the rule this year - they are enforcing the rule more harshly, and not without prior warning to the entire league.

Bailey was a desperation shot made by a team that could not control the attitude, mouth, and fiscal requests of their RB. In retrospect, you would have been better off paying for OLine or MLB help as a CB is not a difference maker for an entire season.

I never said they changed the rule...and yes...in retrospect it hasn't worked out to it's maximum potential. It't not done though...well see what kind of guy Bailey is next year, because he'll still be with the team. MLB help...Al Wilson is more than a capable MLB. I would agree we need help with the OLine...but a better place would have been the Dline...we lost Pryce and our pass rush has suffered.

Porter vs Bailey - 6 catches, 135 yards, 3 TD

Porter vs Warfield - 4 catches, 57 yards, 1 TD (TD was on a safety anyway)

I don't think anyone is in good position to declare anything good or bad about it at this point. Both got equal value. We have to see what happens with Bell. If he get's it going than it's a great trade...hands down.

How can a guy who is not involved in the trade be the decision maker of the value of said trade?

Either Porter performs well and Bailey performs bad - Bad trade
or
Porter performs bad and Bailey performs bad - Bad trade
or
Porter performs bad and Bailey performs good, but not enough to make a difference - Bad trade
or
Porter performs poorly and Bailey makes the defense a better all around defense - Good trade

As it is, you currently have not received the value of Clinton Porter compared to his season abilities last year - which is what you traded upon.

Again, did you get the total value of the person you traded away last season in the player you received this season? If not, then the trade was a bust - unless you expect the player you received to improve long term.

The only thing that's obvious is that premier CBs like Woodson, Law, Surtain, McCallister aren't bitching about the rule changes... only the over-rated ones like Bailey are.
