We start with Indianapolis...

Then off to Pittsburgh...

Then either the Patriots or San Diego in their house.

After that we have a wind-down game against whatever cream puff NFC team that gets paired up with us.

That's a hell of a tough schedule...

We finish at least 10-6 next year...

Then we either host or go way to a playoff game...

Repeat another time or two...

After that we have a wind-down game against whatever cream puff NFC team that gets paired up with us.

That's a hell of a tough schedule...

and just about as relavent as the thread starter.

Jake Plummer has led the Broncos to the playoffs the same number of times that Drew Brees, Trent Green, and Kerry Collins have led their respective AFC West teams to the playoffs combined.

I'll be suprised if we make it past Indy. These new passing rules seem to be almost designed to get a Manning paired up with a Lombardi Trophy. But aside from new bullsh*t rules, playing in that dome in the post-season doesn't appeal to me.

But then Pittsburgh! That's a team on fire. I have no real hopes of even getting to Pittsburgh, let alone winning there.

As far as the Pariots or the Chargers... Eh. Not really afraid of either one. I think they're both very beatable teams. If we manage to get past the first two games, I'll be very optimistic about our chances to win the AFC Championship.

How is two greater than TWO? If you're counting Plummet having two, then you have to count Brees as well. Green went last year. Stick to something you have a clue about.

Maybe in the terms of battle tested? you guys really haven't beaten many teams with winning records. And like us, you lost to teams with losing records. I think the truth is 3-3 in a division with only two winning teams.

I'd be a little worried that Indy chose to play the Invescos over the Jags or Ravens.... you know Manning studied you guys hard yesterday.

I think you guys are putting way too much into this scenario. Manning can and has lit up any defense, good or bad. I think resting the starters yesterday had more to do with not wanting any freak injuries than anything else, but we'll both stick to the version we want to run with.

I'm sure Manning studied them hard, but again... it is not like there wasn't 16 prior weeks of game tape, you know? It's one of those deals - Indy was in a fortuante spot. The thing is defensively, the Indy starters are better than some of the guys that played yesterday... but still, the starters are fair-to-spare.

Ok, so 3-3... in a division with two .500 teams. That's today's NFL.

Ravens were 3-3 with 2 other divisional teams at .500 or below.
Jags were 2-4 with 2 other teams below .500.

I reference these two b/c they were the other contenders for that wildcard spot. The Bills were also 3-3, but in a better division.

Hell, the Rams were 5-1 in the division ... yet only 8 overall wins and they didn't even win the division. Seattle won the division with a 3-3 divisional record.

It's crazy.

Battle tested ... depends on how you look at it. Denver has some key players on both sides of the ball that are battle tested and that should mean something.

Okay, so in saying, I didn't mean to state the obvious so much as to state some smack. But Shanahan has not won in the playoffs without Elway, and I don't see that changing UNLESS the Broncos can get out to a quick two touchdown lead against Indianapolis. Either way, you're probably going to have to score 35 points in order to beat the Colts.

I think the AFC is all but a lock against ANY NFC opponent. At the beginning of the season, I predicted that it would be the Patriots and the Eagles in the Super Bowl, and so far, I'm going to stick with that. However, the Steelers are the team to beat in the AFC right now, and the Eagles will be lucky to make it the rest of the way.

Ok, and KC hasn't won in the playoffs since Montana retired. This is only the 6th season of the post-Elway era... they've now advanced 3 of the 6 seasons. Sure, a win would be great, but it takes time to get there and win it all.

Is this just some random BS or do you actually have the penalty breakdown...

Come on I remember that playoff run like it was yesterday. The championship game against the Steelers was the most one sided game I have ever witnessed from an officiating standpoint. Every failed 3rd and long play Bronco's had was conveniently converted by a late phantom pass interference call to 1st and 10. The officials gave that game to the Bronco's. The next year you guys took it no doubt but that first one was hella sketchy. I seriously thought the NFL was turning into WWE after seeing that.

TEX

Is this just some random BS or do you actually have the penalty breakdown...

Why don't you go back and look at Gonzo's TD that was called back and see if he was forced out of bounds while in the air after making a TD catch. Then look at the phantom hold on a field goal where 3 more points were taken off the board and you tell me.

That's why I found it so funny that all we heard last year from your kind was clip, clip , clip on Dante's return. Yeah we got the benefit of a bad call, but it was nothing compared to the BS calls in the '97 playoff game. There is no way that anyone will ever convince me that you guys didn't get way more calls to go your way than should have during the playoffs that year. Shoot, your boys even were touting vasoline, remember? :shake:

don't think too much, dear Taco.
you go to playoffs because the Colts want a cakewalk schedule to their Super Bowl.

No team has ever got more calls than the Donx on their first Superbowl run, it was pathetic. The Patriots are the team that has been getting more than anyone lately.

That's when Elway was there, Peyton is the darling now.

Colts go to the superbowl.
Philly spanks em.

Just like Marino's record breaking season.

You and the rest of the idiot Bronco fans know that your chances are slim and none to beat the Colts.

Idiot is such a strong word to use.... anyway, it's not like it's that Colt's offense with a Ravens' style of defense. Their defense can and has been scored upon this season.

I go back just a few weeks ago to the Texans' game at Indy. Denver is better all around than Houston, so I expect the Broncos to take what they already know... apply what they learn from games like the Houston game and give it their best shot.

Manning and company will come out hot and firing on all cylinders, so it's definitely going to be a tough game to freaking win. No doubt about it.

The funniest bump would probably be finding the thread on the Mane where he predicted a Super Bowl for the team when they were 5-1 or whatever they were before it all fell apart towards the end...

We start with Indianapolis...

Then off to Pittsburgh...

Then either the Patriots or San Diego in their house.

After that we have a wind-down game against whatever cream puff NFC team that gets paired up with us.

That's a hell of a tough schedule...

You guys never had a chance to beat Indy in their home, in the playoffs. Hell, Kc could have played better in that game than denver did.
