I dunno about ice... but, it rained pretty much all day in Phoenix yesterday. This morning I noticed on the news that there were school closings... how awesome is that?

I never watch the local morning news... I had no idea such things happened.

It looks like someone turned a fan on in a crackhouse outside. Supposed to have 6-9 inches today and tommorrow here in S. Dakota.

Well, the telecommuting part might have confused me, but I was a fan of the broadband the Bangles.

Hey, I was a kid... gimme a break.

Could've been worse.

Could've been Bananarama, Kajagoogoo or Wham!

Wham!

Heh... my brother had a Wham! tape.

I remember MTV had some special... like the X worst videos of all time or something. They showed "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go"... IIRC, Denis Leary was one of the folks on the show, and he made a comment like, "Okay... five seconds into this video I can see George Michael is a fag. Why the hell was everyone so shocked later?"

Ewww.

Then again, I was a huge Duran Duran fan back in the 80s, but I de-gayed it with skate-punk music.

I wasn't surprised. But when you're a star and get caught doing something stupid the media's going to jump all over it. Like the Don Henley song "Dirty Laundry".

Two years ago on the first day of the ice storm, we were one of the 3 districts in the KC area still open....and we just got out two hours early because of a potential ice storm threat. Seeing as how the section of storm that actually hits Kansas City will probably start to break up by the time it gets here, this is one of the worst decisions I've ever heard of...but from a highschooler's perspective, this is freak'n sweet!

I guess the best of all possible worlds would be that I wreck my truck on the way home, it's totalled, I'm unhurt, and the power is out at the office all day tomorrow so I can stay home and play Madden...errr.... work from home.

It looks like we are going to catch a break in Springtown. Rain but no ice is preferable to me any day.

If you think it would help, I'd be happy to call you boss and explain how unessential you really are.

No need to return the favor. I'm perfectly cool with the fools thinking they need me around here.

So I'm off to play march madness 2005 for a while.
