Marty Schottenheimer was the coach of the Cheifs from 1989-1998, and he ammassed a playoff record of 3-7. I'm trying to find out how many of those seasons Paul Hackett was the offensive coordinator.

Thanks

I think everyone that can look this up has probably gone for the dinner hour. My memory is two years, then he left to go to either USC or UCLA I believe.

He was with the Chiefs from 93-97. USC 98-00 and with the Jets since leaving USC. So, he basically jacked up the playoffs with the Chiefs 4 times.

Everything i have heard is that he has Jacked up the Jets offense as well. He can claim that he developed Pennington though. Its funny watching the Jets play, I see the same exact stuff that got him run out of town here. Recievers running 5 yard outs when its 3rd and 9 and swing passes on 3rd and long to the fullback.

Do we count that playoff game where he left to interview with (and then accept) the USC offer instead of preparing for the game?

I hope he coaches for our competitors forever.

Isnt that just an old urban legend that he did that? Was that the 97 playoff game?

And who can forget the patented pitch back to the RB on 3rd and 20 from inside your own 10 yard line.

Let's not forget that he has the added bonus of having Jimmy Raye as an assistant. Two years ago the Jets offense was the toast of the league when Chad Pennington first came up. But since Pennington has been oftinjured and IMO has lost some confidence.
