Why? So that way they can prove to rest of the world they can win without Ty Law. Especially against an explosive, quick strike offense like Indy. correct me if I wrong, I think Law is due a huge bonus next upcoming season, they'll probably just let him go and explore the market. And, if they win I'm thinking they'll be even more convinced they'll let him go. Just another great CB option in FA is what we need. What'd you guys think? Do you guys agree?

I think Law is gone either way. It's not that he's due a huge bonus (he gets a $1M reporting bonus in August, I believe), but rather his salary is continuing to climb. I think his salary is over $9M next year, and his cap carrying cost is over $12M.

I'd like to see the Patriots win for two reasons. One, I'm a huge Patriots fan and of course want them to win every game. Second, I would LOVE for Gillette Stadium to be the Place Where Peyton Goes To Die every year, and for this Patriots team to be known as Peyton-killers. Seriously -- Manning is probably going to break every record there is, and I'd love for everyone to always say, 30 years from now "Manning was the greatest, but he never could beat those Patriots..."

I hope the Pats lose. Simply because I'm sick of hearing about how great they are. Yes, I'm jealous. Piss off, Pats fans. :p

Jealousy is good. It's an acknowledgement of our inherent superiority. So I accept your jealousy, happily....

I'll just admit they're damn good. But, I'm expecting the Colts to play you guys a lot better than last year. It'll be a close game.

I hope the Patriots fare as well as Oklahoma did against USC, and come Monday everyone is talking about how they were "Exposed" - - -- - -

I like Tony Dungy and I'm tired of the Pats a bit. Plus my resentment of Prince Peyton is at a temporary low too due to what he just did to the Donks. So, this is the year I'm rooting for Dungy to get his ring. Sorry Amnorix.

I have nothing against the Patriots, but I am tired of them.

Go Colts, I guess...

I can understand the sentiment of not wanting to see the same damn team win every year, so I won't hold it against you guys.

Colts are damn good. It's gonna be a tough game to win without our starting CBs, that's for damn sure. Hopefully it will be a good game, though.

I kind of feel the same way except I'm tired of Manning and the Colts too. It should be a great game though.

I completely agree with Amnorix. I would love for Manning to go through his whole career knowinghe couldn't beat the Patriots.

Unfortunatly I don't see the Pats winning this week. Manning is to good not to beat us this week. Every time he gets to the line he is going to check for one of two players, Troy Brown and Earthwind Moreland. He is going to expose those match ups all day. Earthwind is horendous and Brown can only do so much.

I hate to say this, but I see the Colts up big in the first quarter. The Pats fighting back in the second half but falling short. Just being realistic.

Don't yell Amno, we won the World Series, we can't have everything.

Maybe Hank Poteat is going to play big role this weekend. The Pats are known for getting these players outta nowhere after all.

regardless, I think it's going to be cold in Foxboro. Probably a few signs of flurries. I'm thinking they'll probably get bad weather there this weekend. That's the Pats, they get the breaks.

Honestly, logic tells me the same thing. The only reason I have any hope at all is because a defense that wasn't as good as this one, overall, somehow beat the Greatest Show On Turf, ON TURF, in 2001. The '04 Patriots are a much better team than those Patriots, and we're at home, so maybe.

But honestly, I think the chances of a Patriots' victory are less than 50/50, and I think there's a depressingly good chance (20% or whatever) of a Colts blowout.

Everytime I think about Brown or Moreland up against Stokely or Wayne, I want to cry.... :deevee::deevee::deevee:

Dude, that's like saying last week that the Colts get all the breaks because they're playing on turf in a dome....

It's January in New England. Cold is a given. Snow is a realistic and frequent occurence. It's called "home field advantage".

what about Tyrone Poole? Isn't he playing? he's not that bad.

There is a good chance of sleat and snow for game time which would put the ball in the hands of Edge and Dillon.

He went on IR like a month ago.

Advantage Patriots if true. I'll point out that the Snow Bowl game against the Raiders involved not a small amount of passing, however. It does make long throws harder, and it will hurt Indy's precision attack, so I definitely think it's advantage Patriots if true.

It all depends on whether or not the refs lose their hankies like they did last year...If they allow holding on all the WR's, Indy is done. If they dont, Indy has a pretty good chance.
