Operating Partner? Ever heard the term?
I'm a computer guy, and very tired of it. Don't know if it's mid-life crisis, or what...but, I absolutely dread getting up and doing IT work. Now with a new contract, and the new prime micro-managing everything it's even less fun.
Tomorrow I interview for a position as an Operating Partner for a local Burger King. Apparently, a large franchise owner (74 BKs owned) wants an Operating Partner...someone to run it as if they owned it, no investment, no buy-in. Someone to run it, manage the managers, etc.
While I don't have 'Restaurant Management' experience, I've got a bunch of personnel management skills (NCOIC in the Military on 3 occasions and responsible for multi-million $$$ computer systems) as well as my entire life & military career has been in 'Customer service' related jobs.
Anybody have any advice?
