Did anyone hear it?

Apparently Priest came right out and said (in reguards to Ty Law) "We're gonna bring him home."

Then Fatlock asked him if he liked Nachos.

Yeah, somebody referred to it over on the Surtain thread, said Priest said he was gonna get Law and Kendrell Bell to come here....

Yeah, Priest said it, so it's gonna happen.

Remember when he said "The Kansas City Chiefs will endure"?

I guess we're still alive...

Thanks I didn't read through the whole thread. Law would be ok at the right price and Bell is injury prone.

Bell with Derrick johnson and Rolle and Surtain and are defense quits getting in the way of our winning. But alas it is but a dream.

I don't even know if he's all that great. He's never even had 90 tackles, and he doesn't force turnovers.

Maybe stats don't tell the whole story...

The last time Priest wrote a letter, and Carl signed some FAs, its just too bad they were Holiday and Barber

Patton only made 90 tackles here once, and you can't tell me he didn't give the defense a lift.

Our defense sucked pretty much every year he was here.

There's no question Bell is better than Kaweaka Mitchell, I just don't want to pay him Priest Holmes money...

I agree totally except Patton was a very good player for us and a good leader in the locker room. His main problem was he was way past his prime.

We need more than 1 player to fix this D so we shouldn't overpay just to get any FA, we have to get the right players at the right price IMO.

I don't think that Bell is going to command the deal that that you guys think due to his injury situation. But I could be wrong..

Patton? Are you freakin' kidding me? Marvcus Patton was a good MLB.

He was so great our run D was ranked 17th, 27th and 24th 3 of his 4 years here.

He was basically a black Mike Maslowski.

He was an ok over achiever

I like the optimism in the Chiefs actually landing some big-time FAs, but I'll believe it when I see it. Shawn Barber also helped recruit Douglas, alot a good that did.

I wasn't a Patton fan either. Guy was slow. I think our defense got worse when we brought Patton in and moved Edwards to OLB. He had one good year where he was our team MVP, but I didn't think he was very good the other years. I would say he was not quite as good as Tracy Simien, but a little better than Maz.
