Holmes was just on the Jim Rome show and he sounds like he's getting sick of losing.

He was pushing for us to take a hard look at Law
He called out Peterson and said it was time to do something.
He also commented on some of the players having a lack of emotion after the final SD game. Said they weren't the type of players he wanted on his team.

I don't really think of Holmes as a vocal leader, but he definately appears to be on the campaign trail. My guess is if things don't get done this year, we'll be losing some good offensive players that are tired of playing on a half team.

I feel the same way.

Holmes has never been afraid to get vocal about things he wants.

And this time it's for the good of the team, it's not about a fat contract...

Mods can merge this with the other Holmes on Rome thread to clean up the board if they want.

I wish DV would show as much urgency as Priest.

It'll be interesting to see what comes of this.

I fully expact CP to sign a few tier 2 FA's and then blow up their stats to make them look like tier 1 players. I wonder though if he'll notice that his team, #31, is unhappy and do something about it.

Brother, ain't that the truth. I get tired of DV's sunshine. Just once I'd like him to come out and actually admit we have problems.

How does Priest know we have $10 million under the cap next year?

He has: Schedule problems. We play too many good teams. ;)

Because he's talked to Carl about all of this and what's going to happen this offseason....

We can only hope.

Maybe Priest, Carl, and Gunther got together and told Crybaby to STFU and STFD...

I heard this interview as well. This was one of the few interviews I've heard where Priest wasn't sending mixed messages. He seemed extremely upbeat and positive about '05. He said he'll be trying to convince Ty Law to help the Chiefs take it to another level --and mentioned "we" had 10 mil. as persuasion.
