A pound of nails or a pound of screws?

* Yes, I know the answer. I just want to see if I can get two today.

You're not supposed to pound screws.

Okay, let's see.

If I'm hoping to get two today, that means I've already gotten ______ today.

OK, so I guess it means you've gotten one today. I wanna get three today, but I want all of them to be on this board.

Heh.

The one that I got today is a very bright person; chemical engineer, to be exact. He's also my boss.

Upon providing me an answer and my resultant response, he called me many expletives and hung up the phone.

At first I didn't know about who was the dumbest ass on the Planet, but Donger is now nominated.

The feathers vs bricks works better on people like commatard.

Clearly not.

I rather take some time with the wife to pound out a screw before a nail.

Yes, but when you turn on the headlights they don't illuminate until you come to a stop.

In England, I'll bet 1 of nails is heavier than 1
of screws, since they're cheaper.

I don't know if Donger would consider that THE right answer or not, but it got Rainman some Rep anyway.

Well then it depends on which is more unstable the nails or the screws and how much time in the future we weight the objects.

A pound of nails made of radioactive carbon 14 would weigh less than a pound of screws made of lead over the course of only a few moments.

in theory. but could we actually discern that difference in weight with any scale that currently exists?

Sure, I have a killer bathroom scale that we could rig to an atomic accelerator and power with my best friends Flux Capacitor and we are in business - providing we can initiate the primary 13 gigawatts needed to kickstart the puppy.

If not, I have a really cool raygun that shoots sparks from a metal pin riding on a whetstone I will let you have.
