Nope, we lived in different towns

But yes on the weekends

Yes...for a year...so she could attend grad classes in the area, and save a buttload of money...I had a house, we'd dated 2 years.

It was unpopular with both parental units, and wouldn't have happend under different circumstances, but worked out well for us. The Wedding planning phase was more difficult without "space".

Yeppers... and we lied to the folks about it.

Well, I don't have permission to show you her picture...but I hope to be married to her by around this time next year.

Here is a pic of us. Its the worst one I have, so her identity not be revealed. :D

Oh...LIVING in sin? No, we don't live together. ROFL

She lives in Manhattan, for obvious reasons. I live in Topeka, and we get together on the weekends.

I don't know if it was a big deal with the families. They never really indicated to us. When we called them and told them we were getting hitched, they reacted like "that's nice, we're happy," but I think they saw it as a mere formality. I guess we naively expected more of a reaction ("THAT'S GREAT!"), but looking back I understand what they were thinking.

Is this a question of generational morality?

Who was raised to believe that you don't "cheat the preacher"?

Heh. Before we married we decided to join a church, because we wanted to get married in a church and we wanted to raise our kids (which were still 3 years away) in a church. I know, call me a hypocrite, whatever.

Anyway, we met with the priest (Episcopal) and he was taking down our information and asked me my address. Then he asked my sweetie's address. She paused. Gave same. He paused. Paused. Paused. Smiled wanly and said, "Well, I'm glad you've decided to sanctify your relationship." He married us, 13 years later we still go to the church and he's still the priest there.

Phobia, Pull your head out of your ass. It was a simple question.

If I'm holier than you, it is soley your fault.

If you follow the writings in the Bible you did nothing wrong (unless one or both of you were already married when you co-habitated). The act of having the Priest/Pastor/Preacher/Judge "make it legal" is only a formality.....that is if you believe the Bible.

First girl I thought I wanted to marry, lived with her a month and realized that shit wasn't gonna happen.
