Talking about SI jinx

"Kansas City Chiefs, 3 years ago, 10-0 going in to play the lowly Bungals."

Almost. . . right?

It's Rush.....

And the men who hold high places
Must be the ones who start
To mold a new reality
Closer to the heart
Closer to the heart
The blacksmith and the artist
Reflect it in their art
They forge their creativity
Closer to the heart
Closer to the heart

Philosophers and ploughmen
Each must know his part
To sow a new mentality
Closer to the heart
Closer to the heart
You can be the captain
I will draw the chart
Sailing into destiny
Closer to the heart

Imagine Rush not having memorized every facet of Chiefs history!

The nerve!

Rush is unbelievably bad when it comes to football. When he starts talking football, I just beg for him to get back to politics. At least that's something he knows about.

We would've been 10-0 had it not been for the league conspiracy to overhype Marvin Lewis because he's a black head coach. That's probably what he meant to say.

And the whole "three years ago" was just an... audiographical error?

God, I can't believe we started 9-0 in 2003. It feels so long ago...

Has he weighed in yet on which African American football players and coaches in 2005 are overrated simply because of their race??

One of the letters to the editor brought up the SI jinx, because Marvin Harrison was on the cover the week before the Colts lost to the Patriots...... Too bad Tedi Bruschi and Jeremiah Trotter were on it the following two weeks

Despite that, I'm sure the so called jinx will be "the only thing that can beat the Patriots" if they lose this weekend. :shake:

Rush is a smart guy. You woulda thought after the last time he chimed his big fat mouth in on football and made a complete and total jackass out of himself he would have learned. Guess not.
