cant play .mid files

I post embedded links in yahoo mail signature. I have noticed lately I have no sound. I dowloaded the file to hard drive and it still wont play. I am not the only one apparently who is having this problem. My mom says hers arent working either. My media player still has audio with other file types.

I am attaching the .mid file in a .zip folder oinly because it is theonly way to attach to this site. The file is safe.

Let me know if you are able to play it. I have tried several different ones. I have media player version 9.
