But, I've got to tell you, at least he talks about the Chiefs! I think he legitimately cares about this team and wants to see improvements and success. What's so terrible about that? ...and, he's frequently correct...how did our D finish last season?

I can bearly pickup 610 here near Omaha, but in the afternoon drive I switch from 810 to 610 cause Keitzman is talking NASCAR or bar-b-queing, or K-State basketball or something pointless.

If anything, he will cease to be an employee temporarily during the rally, then be rehired immediately thereafter, to "Protect the station" and make the rally look more important than it really is.

I will be there tomorrow, but I King Carl isn't going to hear about the rally, and finally realize that Chiefs fans don't care about the money and just want a winning team.

Whitlock is arrogant, and I think that's where the hatred for some comes from, but he's very good at what he does. That's it in a nutshell. Whether you like him or what he says, he's done a tremendous job at selling himself. He's a columnist, and his job is to get people to talk about what he has to say. He does exactly that. If you hate him, you talk about him. If you agree with him, you talk about him. He's gotten his name out there, even to the beginnings of national recognition with ESPN. He's had to work hard and network well to get where he is. Hell, I'm jealous in a lot of ways. I wish I had the kind of connections it takes to get as far as he has.

Although that probably won't come until I develop some work ethic. But anyway. He's made himself a topic of conversation. And that's his job.

I am convinced that he is like a lot of the athletes, he is in it solely for himself. I do not think he gives a rats ass about the Chiefs other than an opportunity to make a name for himself and get a big time job. Seeing him on the "Sports Reporters" made me want to puke because the whole thing was made to come off like he was some kind of annointed expert on the Chiefs. No one holds a candle to him as far as knowledge or preparation. I really wish Kietzman would step back into management and let Petro take over the afternoon slot.

I read the rumor about Whitlock going back to 810 also. I'll be really pissed if they bump Petro for him.

Whit is not going back to 810 anytime soon. He has been trying to go back there for the last couple of months from what I understand.

True. It took me a while to get used to his style, but once I did I really liked the Freak. He was 10x better than listening to Fesco in the mornings. They ought to team him and St. John up together, that might actually be a decent show.

They better not bump Petro, He's easily my favorite talent around here. I've got a two hour gap in between work and class that I get to listen to Petro and drink coffee and if they screw that up heads will roll.

Don't be a dumbass. Yes it was one comment but saying things as stupid as that has more value to it than just one comment.

I think the Chiefs can spend a little cash to bring them where they are. This is not the first time they have done this. If they don't sign anyone tomorrow it's not because they are not here. I believe the Chiefs are not the only ones that will be in Atlanta, are you saying no team can sign anyone tomorrow just because they will be in Atlanta? :hmmm:

No not saying that. Just saying out of all the teams the Chiefs should be one of the most eager to get some of this top rated talent in here. I am just getting that typical Peterson feeling of we will get to it when "we" choose.

Actually, I think I may have figured it out. Ok, stay with me. It's Laz's B-day. I picture him sitting in front of his B-day cake with candles lit and a sly almost evil grin on his face. Then poof, he blows out his candles. You get called every name in the book. Coincidence? I think not. Dick.

I didn't hear it, but I'd guess that this is one of Whitless' publicity stunts. It's too much of a coincidence that his last day will be the day of the rally. He's up to something. We couldn't be so lucky as to get his dumbass out of this town.
I know it's four weeks away, but April Fools, any one? :hmmm:

Read the Warren thread. Not that I'd have to point him out, but his name is Pete. Just some feathers ruffled, all seems fine now.

That's stupid. I flip around on my drive home from work and 810 has Kietzman always talking about either NASCAR, the Royals, or Kstate. He hardly ever talks about KU or the Chiefs. Or at least that's the way it is when I'm on my drive home after 4:30. At least Whitlock does talk about the things I give a shit about. Plus, they've recently had guests like Mark Collins and Tracy Simien.

I will give you this, though: The morning guy sucks ass.

I listened to JW because I got sick of that egotistical bufoon KK always talking about an arena/baseball stadium. Or baseball, or hunting, or racing.

I liked hearing Chiefs/KU/Roos/Big 12, instead of al that other crap.

It will be interesting to see if 610 sues him for breach of contract, since he has one through mid-2006, I believe.
