Just a heads up to everyone :thumb:

Oh btw John Clayton said the chiefs and the cowboys are the most aggressive in free agency :thumb:

How can they be the most aggressive? They haven't done anything. I judge aggressiveness by signings, not by visits.

Teicher is going to report that the Chiefs have decided to resign Bartee, Woods, Wesley and Hicks.

Can someone give us a play by play please. 610am is still in the stone age and doesn't offer streaming audio.

Teicher: It will be tough for them to get 2 high priced guys with their cap but it all depends on the contract structure.

Teicher: Will be looking at WR. Expects to get a starting LB and CB and draft starting LB in the 1st round.

Teicher: Because of Barber situation that is why they are looking at Ian Gold.

If Derek Johnson isn't there at 15, aren't any of the other LBs a reach?
Does Teicher address that at all?

Teicher: Front office is very aware of the public perception that the fans are unhappy.

Teicher: The Chiefs can't line up on D with the same guys as last year unless they have a deathwish

This is the kind of sh!t that I hate about Teicher. He doesn't really know where they are cap wise, but it doesn't stop him from making comments like this.

Hey I guess that the fans have finally gotten the CP's attention or maybe it is the fact that season ticket sales are down.

The Chiefs could give a rat's @ss what the fans think of them or the team. They do, however, care about ticket sales. That is the only thing that will catch their attention.

Starting LB in the first round? Thats pretty iffy, of course knowing the Chiefs they are just saying that while planning on going after a CB.

In my fantasy world they are thinking DE in the first and are not saying it because there are only a couple worth grabbing and don't want someone to jump in front of them, much less hurt Hicks feelings. Ahhhh dreams.

Don't ticket sales correlate with what the fans think? If the fans are happy with the direction of the team they will buy season tickets and sell out the stadium.

What Adam was saying is that this is what he was expecting to happen in the draft. I don't know if he had any real info other than pure speculation.

Yes, I guess you are right. But if they thought they could continue to put a mediocre product out and still sell tickets they would do it in a minute regardless how the fans "felt". Ticket sales is something that hits where it hurts...direct income, advertising etc.

I agree that this why I think the fans have finally gotten CP attention. As fans we are no longer satisfied with mediocre as alot of times we were just happy to make the playoffs but now it is SB or Bust IMO. I honestly think what happened last season with no offseason moves was the bone that broke the camel's back with the fans.

They don't care about improving the team.
