Is this cool or what? My in-laws had us over for dinner last week as a belated birthday dinner for me. They then mentioned that they've acquired like a zillion frequent flyer miles and want to take a trip. They're taking my wife along, and I get to tag along, too, since someone needs to carry luggage and stuff.

They've given us the following locations to choose from. Where do we go? Where do we go?

(Background: my in-laws are in their 70s, but in very good shape. Even so, they're not into a whole lot of walking or anything, so we can't do a real high-impact trip. If we go international, I'll kind of be the point man, I figure.)

Be sure to consider the "number of girls in their early twenties in skimpy bikinis" factor.

Can I do that if my in-laws are going to be nearby?

Maybe I need to start practicing my peripheral vision.

Never travel with your in-laws anywhere. It's a course ripe with disaster!

I should note that neither of them is a ninja, as far as I know.

I have a hard enough time accompanying my in-laws down the street to the local Mexican restaurant. I certainly wouldn't wish to TRAVEL anywhere with them.

It depends on where you have been before and such... but Hawaii is nice all year round. Germany is horrible right now.. and France hates us. Oh and Italy or Switzerland??? bah!

Germany would be nice in the summer though.

On a serious note (God forbid), if you haven't been to Hawaii, go there. It's literally paradise on earth. Each island is different, however, so be sure to speak with those who have been there to make sure you hit the right islands. You'd think they're all the same, but they definitely are NOT.

Too bad they don't have a NASCAR race there.

He's a sticky-fingered pollster from Berlin down to Belize,

Tell me where in the world is Rainman Sandiego?

Poll their Seoul in South Korea, make Antarctica vote for Gaz,
From the Red Sea to Greenland they'll be singing the blues,
Well they never Arkansas his steal the Mekong from the jungle,
Tell me where in the world is Rainman Sandiego?

He'll go from Nashville to Norway, Bonaire to Zimbabwe,
Chicago to Czechoslovakia and back!

Well he'll ask 'bout Pakistan and run a scam in Scandinavia,
Then he'll stick 'em up Down Under and go pick-pocket Perth,
He asked for answers to the questions when he stole the beans from Lima,
Tell me where in the world is Rainman Sandiego?
Oh tell me where in the world is... Oh tell me where can he be?

He's a poll-making master with a taste for thievery,
His itinerary's loaded up with moving violations,
Tell me where in the world is Rainman Sandiego?

Dude, if you go to Hawaii, you gotta post a pic of you and Dog the Bounty Hunter. So, like, commit a crime and skip bail or something.

Hey Rainman I voted for Italy but I hereby retract my vote as I don't need you getting more than 18 sites and passing me by.

It's times like this when I'm glad I've already got an mp3 of that song on my computer.

"The warrant
The warrant
The warrant
Oooooh the chief
Oooooohooooohooohooooooh the chief
Monday through Friday at five!"

I think the in-laws are most interested in France or Hawaii, and Hawaii is the only place out of their choices that they've visited before.

I've never been to Hawaii, Italy, or Switzerland out of their choices, and any of them would be nice. I've spent a grand total of one day in Germany, so essentially I've never been there, either. I've been to France a couple of times, but would easily go back, and I've never been to the Riviera.

I'd like to get them to Europe just because I think they'd like it, and Paris is a great place for them (easy to get around, and lots of stuff that they like). I'm leaning toward suggesting France, even though Italy would probably be my selfish top choice.

Does the Riviera have topless beaches?

My wife loves that show. Yet she derides me when I watch Cops. Women are such a mystery.

I don't care how good of shape she's in that is just wrong.
