Lots of chatter on the board the last few days... Rolle and Hartwell, among other FA's.

So... sound off.

Movie news... Be Cool was decent, not as good as Get Shorty, but very enjoyable. The Pacifier looks mind-numbingly stupid... and I just saw a preview for Miss Congeniality 2. It looks to be quite possibly the worst movie ever made... and I saw Alexander. AND, the new Star Wars trailer premiered on TV this week... exciting stuff.

EDIT: Sorry, Star Wars trailer WILL premiere this week... next Thursday during the OC.

I'm just sitting here jonesing over getting my damned Mustang. It's much worse now that the wheels are turning. :banghead:

The good news - the dealer has found a couple that fit my specs. The bad news is they're in other states. But if the dealer can work out a car swap, I might be able get the car at some point in the next couple of weeks instead of a month and a half.

Patience is definitely NOT one of my virtues. :grr:

I'm more interested in what's inside the car anyway, what I use. How comfortable it is.

I got to my weekend job tonight (I only work weekends) and got a "star card" for my work last weekend. I didn't know we did those, but a coworker said that's VERY good... this other person has been a full-time employee for 10 years and has only gotten 2 "star cards"... and he works 40+ hours a week. I work 9+ hours for the last year and a half and got one...

I'm bought a brand new car for the first time in my life (been working for 18 1/2 years now). Wanted to see how long I could keep it nice. It's been two years, and still going strong.

Thought about a Sebring - nice looking cars - but too big for my taste. I like small cars.

The convertibles are not really big as the 4 door ones they are really nice. I like the 98 Sebrings better than the new ones, the grill looks different.

The Star Wars Cantina
Sung to the tune of "Copacabana" by Barry Manilow
Written by Mark Jonathan Davis
© Copyright 1997 Mark Jonathan Davis / Earthquake Entertainment
Lyrics and Lead Vocal by Mark Jonathan Davis
Backup vocals by Loretta Mendoza

(Leia: "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope")
(Artoo: Beeps)

Her name was Leia, she was a princess,
with a danish on each ear, and Darth Vader (Vader: Breath sounds/Davis SFX) drawing near.
So Artoo Detoo, found Ben Kenobi. (Ben: "Obi-Wan")
He'd have to put the Death Star plans, into the Rebellion's hands.
So Luke and Obi-Wan, had to get to Alderaan,
so they stopped into Mos Eisley, to have a drink with Han...

chorus
At the Star Wars, [Star Wars!], Star Wars Cantina, [Star Wars Cantina]
The weirdest creatures you've ever seen-a!
[Here, at the] Star Wars, [Star!], {Star Wars Cantina,
Music, and blasters, and old Jedi Masters, at the Star Wars!...}

(Greedo: "Oota-do-ta, Solo?")
His name was Solo (Han: "Han Solo"), he was a pilot (Millenium Falcon flying by)
With a blaster at his side (Solo's blaster firing), and a smile twelve parsecs wide,
there with Chewbacca (Chewie: "Roar"), he was a Wookiee.
They met with Luke and Obi-Wan, about the Millenium Falcon.
Docking Bay Ninety-four (Ben: "Ninety-four"), Stormtroopers at the door. (Three knocks on metal)
With a flash of Ben's lightsaber (Saber igniting and swooping), now there's an arm, (Surly man: "Aaaargh!") on the floor...

chorus
At the Star Wars, [Star Wars!], Star Wars Cantina, [Star Wars Cantina]
The weirdest creatures you've ever seen-a!
[Here, at the] Star Wars, [Star!], {Star Wars Cantina,
Music, and blasters, and old Jedi Masters, at the Star Wars!...}

(Ben: "Mos Eisley Spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.")

His name was Yoda, he was a muppet. (Yoda: "EewOHew!", like Grover/Davis SFX)
Darth Vader was so bad, and by the way he's Luke's dad.
Luke kissed his sister (Leia kissing Luke/Davis SFX); his hand got cut off. (Saber Zap, Luke: "Aaaaagh!")
In that galaxy far, far away, Luke has had a lousy day.
Boba Fett was so mean, Jabba had bad hygiene. (Davis/Jabba: "Ho! Ho! Ho!")
Why didn't they all just relax, back on Tatooine...

chorus
At the Star Wars, [Star Wars!], Star Wars Cantina, [Star Wars Cantina]
The weirdest creatures you've ever seen-a! (Cantina Driod Alarm SFX)
[Here, at the] Star Wars, [Star!], {Star Wars Cantina,
Music, and blasters, and old Jedi Masters, at the Star Wars!...}

(Ben: "The Force will be with you, always")
[Star Wars, Star Wars Cantina,] (Artoo: Beeps and Whistles)
[Star Wars,] (Chewie: Growl) [Star Wars Cantina...]

Dagobah
Parody of “Dragula” by Rob Zombie
(by Mikey Squirrel)

Jedi I am the one, here with Obi-Wan
Live amongst the trees, lifting rocks with ease
Jedi in the swamps, sittin’ on a stump
Ship is sinking fast, guess I’ll save your ass

CHORUS:
Run through the jungle, and try not to stumble
As we’re training in the swamps of my Dagobah
Run through the jungle, and try not to stumble
As we’re training in the swamps of my Dagobah

Jedi all alone, mudhole is my home
Old I have become, eight hundred years young
Jedi you could be, training you will need
Become an acrobat, I’ll ride on your back

(Chorus)

Chewie, baby Chewie, baby!
Chewie, baby Chewie, baby!
Roar like a wookie

Jedi can’t you see, don’t go in the tree
Dark side is in there, but you just don’t care
Jedi training ends, go and save your friends
One day you’ll be back, You can watch me die

(Chorus)

Chewie, baby Chewie, baby!
Chewie, baby Chewie, baby!

Here's Weird-Al's awesome parodies of "Lola" and "American Pie":

I met him in a swamp down in Dagobah
Where it bubbles all the time like a giant carbonated soda
S O D A, soda

I saw the little runt sitting there on a log
I asked him his name and in a raspy voice he said "Yoda"
Y O D A, Yoda
Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda

Well, I've been around, but I ain't never seen
A guy who looks like a muppet, but he's wrinkled and green
Oh, my Yoda
Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda

Well, I'm not dumb, but I can't understand
How he can lift me in the air just by raising his hand
Oh, my Yoda
Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda

Well, I left home just a week before
And I've never ever been a Jedi before
But Obi Wan, he set me straight, of course
He said, "Go to Yoda and he'll show you the Force"

Well I'm not the kind that would argue with Ben
So it looks like I'm gonna start all over again
With my Yoda
Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda

Yoda
Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda

So I used the Force
I picked up a box
I lifted some rocks
While I stood on my head
Well, I won't forget what Yoda said

He said, "Luke, stay away from the darker side
And if you start to go astray, let the Force be your guide"
Oh, my Yoda
Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda

"I know Darth Vader's really got you annoyed
But remember, if you kill him, then you'll be unemployed"
Oh, my Yoda
Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda

Well, I heard my friends really got in a mess
So I'm gonna have to leave Yoda, I guess
But I know that I'll be coming back some day
I'll be playing this part 'till I'm old and gray

The long-term contract that I had to sign
Says I'll be making these movies till the end of time
With my Yoda
Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda

Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda
Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda

Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda
Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda

Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda

A long, long time ago
In a galaxy far away
Naboo was under an attack

And I thought me and Qui-Gon Jinn
Could talk the federation in
To maybe cutting them a little slack

But their response, it didn't thrill us
They locked the doors and tried to kill us

We escaped from that gas
Then met Jar Jar and Boss Nass

We took a bongo from the scene
And we went to Theed to see the Queen
We all wound up on Tatooine
That's where... we found... this boy

Oh,
My my this here Anakin guy
May be Vader someday later - now he's just a small fry
He left his home and kissed his mommy goodbye
Sayin' "Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi, Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"

Did you know this junkyard slave
Isn't even old enough to shave
But he can use the Force, they say

Ahh, do you see him hitting on the queen
Though he's just nine and she's fourteen
Yeah, he's probably gonna marry her someday

Well, I know he built C-3PO
And I've heard how fast his pod can go
And we were broke, it's true
So we made a wager or two
He was a prepubescent flyin' ace
And the minute Jabba started off that race
Well, I knew who would win first place
Oh yes, it was our boy

We started singin' ...
My my this here Anakin guy
May be Vader someday later - now he's just a small fry
And he left his home and kissed his mommy goodbye
Sayin' "Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi, Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"

Now we finally got to Coruscant
The Jedi Council we knew would want
To see how good the boy could be
So we took him there and we told the tale
How his midi-chlorians were off the scale
And he might fulfill that prophecy
Oh, the Council was impressed, of course
Could he bring balance, to the Force?
They interview the kid
Oh, training they forbid
Because Yoda sensed in him much fear
And Qui-Gon said "Now listen here"
"Just stick it in your pointy ear"
"I still will teach this boy"

He was singin' ...
My my this here Anakin guy
May be Vader someday later - now he's just a small fry
And he left his home and kissed his mommy goodbye
Sayin' "Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi, Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"

We caught a ride back to Naboo
'Cause Queen Amidala wanted to
I frankly would've liked to stay
We all fought in that epic war
And it wasn't long at all before
Little Hotshot flew his plane and saved the day
And in the end some Gunguns died
Some ships blew up and some pilots fried
A lot of folks were croakin'
The battle droids were broken
And the Jedi I admire most
Met up with Darth Maul and now he's toast
Well, I'm still here and he's a ghost
I guess I'll train this boy

And I was singin' ...
My my this here Anakin guy
May be Vader someday later - now he's just a small fry
And he left his home and kissed his mommy goodbye
Sayin' "Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi, Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"

We were singin' ...
My my this here Anakin guy
May be Vader someday later - now he's just a small fry

I was also a little stressed when you admitted that...

I couldnt remember if you were on that night or not. I still need to give that one another chance but i am going to have to force myself to. Im just not much a fan of Scorsese. He has made some really good movies but none of them really stuck me as classic films.

Also dont get me wrong i really love most of Hitchcock's movies. He has an amazing body of work. Probably directed more badass movies that anyone i can think of. In particular i mostly like his earlier work like rebecca and Notorius.

However i have confession that i know is going to annoy you more than the earlier ones. There is a particular trilogy that i hadnt seen i quite a while and watched the second part of a few weeks ago. It was good but not in my top movies. Amazing acting but the directing/storytelling just doesnt live up the hype. Im being vague with this to lessen what im admitting but im sure you know what im talking about. ;)

Please dont ignore everying i say about movies after this...i usually agree with most of the consensus great films.

Definitly put me in that minority then too. I thought part one was brilliant and is easily among my favorites. IMO much better characters and the tension buildup to the church scene at the end that was amazing.

I guess what soured me on part II is that i never cared about what was going on in the present time setting of the movie. All of the DeNiro flashbacks were damn good but the other story seemed kind of stale.

The ending of II didnt compare at all to the change in Michael to a cold bastard at the end of part I. I also see the prison scene with tom quoted all the time from II but I guess i just dont see it as being that great at all.

I don't think there's anything in film as magical (for me anyway) as the whole end sequence of The Godfather... simply put, the sequence is perfect.

I thing II is damn good, but not as good as I. And probably my favorite part (besides the church sequence) is Part I is the very end, when Diane Keaton asks Pacino about the murder, and he looks her straight in the face and says, "no." That's great and cements his change.

Here's what I found on Google...

http://merkey.net/surfjunky/

And this, too...

From what I've concluded after doing a bit of research, is that SurfJunky is another scam.

The domain surfjunky.com is registered to "Primo Creations"

Here is the location of Primo Creations:

2864 Turkey Point Rd.
North East, Maryland
21901
United States

The company offers a phone number, feel free to call them at 555-555-5555.

The company also has a corporate email, feel free to email them at primocreations@hotmail.com. The password question to his email account is Favorite pet's name? (So professional)

The domain was registered with GoDaddy.

Now if you know anything about domain registering, you know that you only go to GoDaddy, if you want to pay the cheapest price for a domain. You don't go there as a professional company.

The site http://www.primocreations.com greets you with a flash video from Popeyes and a Lil' John song, no copyright information. A professional company would not do such a thing, you can get sued. (And as a Flash designer might I add that for a company that has such broad knowledge in the coding industry, you'd think they'd know how to embed a flash video?)

Many of you may have heard of AutoSurf.biz, which was recently sold. By guess what "company"? Primo Creations. Why? Probably because the "company" owed too much money and decided to take a run for it.

Now some of you may have read the Terms of Service, some regular user wouldn't read this, because it's boring and filled with useless information, I totally understand you

But what I have found out, is that he just took the Terms of Service from another site and used it as his/her own. A real company would not do this, they'd get a lawyer and write up their own ToS. To see this for yourself, do a quick search on google.com with this exact text: "By signing up and actively using the" (which was taken from the first line of surfjunky.com's ToS)

For surfjunky.com this "company" uses http://www.slackos.com/surfjunky/ as its image host. Slackos.com being also registered to "Primo Creations" This site greets you with a default Apache HTTP server test page, the "company" didn't even bother changing it, looks like somebody was in a hurry to get his surfjunky.com scam going.

So all the sites that I have seen affiliated with "Primo Creations" are listed here:

www.autosurf.biz (No longer owned by Primo Creations)
www.slackos.com (image host)
www.surfjunky.com (get paid to surf [yeah right])
www.primocreations.com (...)
www.theprimonetwork.com (seems to be some re-seller account that the "company" purchased to host their domain

Also my account was deleted when i passed the $25 mark...
