Legal?....iTunes. Period.

I shopped around; tried a one time fee, unlimited downloads site...if you want "safe," and user-friendly....iTunes rocks IMO. :thumb:

iTunes is very good. There's a site on MSN that has a bit more of a selection on some types of music.

Yeah, MSN Musis is supposed to be good; I just really like the software for iTunes....it has made organizing my previous downloads really easy.

I started out with Napster and liked it...there are still a few things about Napster I loved but like you said before the organization with iTues is fantastic.

I download way too much music to pay that much, way to much.

I only download stuff I actually get a chance to LISTEN too; stockpiling for the "might listen to someday" is outweighed by the "legality" of p2p downloading....for me. But, hey....whatever works for you.

I still download a ton of music but I find things on iTunes would take to long to come along no P2P. You also know you are going to get a quality song fast. Whenever it is an older song pretty well established I go to P2P but the newer music...music that isn't popular at all that I like...or exclusive type stuff I go with iTunes. Whith as much enjoyment as I get personally out of music .99 cents\track is a bargain. Esp. when I think of how much I pay for crap in other parts of my life.

I was downloading at Morphius or some such for a while, so I can see the attraction to free sites. It just got to be too much for me after a while.

Yep, I'm trying to get to that milestone. Been working on the thesis all day, so I figured I'd give this place a shot.

Anyway, iTunes, does rock. Especially if you have an iPod.

That works; or the list she requests from me of things I want...since I got season tickets, I've not wanted much....so it's about time, anyway.

Congrats on 100.... :)

You want to go the per month route? Napster.

If you have an iPod, there is no substitute for iTunes. If you do not have an iPod, then iTunes is not a good choice. Download in .AAC format, burn to CD, rip to .MP3 or .WMA. Not a good plan.

Since I do not have an iPod, I use Wal-Mart downloads and Audio Lunchbox.

I thought I saw Napster advertising unlimited monthly dowloads for 15 bucks. Is this on the level? And if it is, how is the quality/selection?

GoChiefs is going to be here eventually telling us to use bittorrent, by the way.......

I just started trying the bittorrent stuff, and its great if you want to download a whole album, but if you want one song I am having troubles finding Torrent sites that just have songs to download rather than the whole album.

Unless gochiefs has any sites to point me too, I will be downloading whole albums for one song

New released songs I usually go the pay route, just call me Cautious
